Inferring Networks of Substitutable and Complementary Products
Authors: Julian McAuley, Rahul Pandey, Jure Leskovec Abstract: To design a useful recommender system, it is important to understand how products relate to each other. For example, while a user is browsing mobile phones, it might make sense to recommend other phones, but once they buy a phone, we might instead want to recommend batteries, cases, or chargers. In economics, these two types of recommendations are referred to as substitutes and complements: substitutes are products that can be purchased instead of each other, while complements are products that can be purchased in addition to each other. Such relationships are essential as they help us to identify items that are relevant to a user's search. Our goal in this paper is to learn the semantics of substitutes and complements from the text of online reviews. We treat this as a supervised learning problem, trained using networks of products derived from browsing and co-purchasing logs. Methodologically, we build topic models that are trained to automatically discover topics from product reviews that are successful at predicting and explaining such relationships. Experimentally, we evaluate our system on the Amazon product catalog, a large dataset consisting of 9 million products, 237 million links, and 144 million reviews. Angularjs filter by multiple properties
In this video we will discuss how to filter by multiple properties in AngularJS. In the example below, we are using multiple search textboxes. As you type in the "Search name" textbox, only the name property is searched and matching elements are displayed. Similarly, as you type in the "Search city" textbox, only the city property is searched and the matching elements are displayed. When the "exact match" checkbox is checked, an exact match search is performed. var app = angular .module("myModule", []) .controller("myController", function ($scope) { var employees = [ { name: "Ben", gender: "Male", salary: 55000, city: "London" }, { name: "Sara", gender: "Female", salary: 68000, city: "Chennai" }, { name: "Mark", gender: "Male", salary: 57000, city: "London" }, { name: "Pam", gender: "Female", salary: 53000, city: "Chennai" }, { name: "Todd", gender: "Male", salary: 60000, city: "London" }, ]; $scope.employees = employees; }); HtmlPage1.html : [!DOCTYPE html] [html xmlns="http://www.w3.org/1999/xhtml"] [head] [title][/title] [script src="Scripts/angular.min.js"][/script] [script src="Scripts/Script.js"][/script] [link href="Styles.css" rel="stylesheet" /] [/head] [body ng-app="myModule"] [div ng-controller="myController"] [input type="text" placeholder="Search name" ng-model="searchText.name"/] [input type="text" placeholder="Search city" ng-model="searchText.city"/] [input type="checkbox" ng-model="exactMatch" /] Exact Match [br /][br /] [table] [thead] [tr] [th]Name[/th] [th]Gender[/th] [th]Salary[/th] [th]City[/th] [/tr] [/thead] [tbody] [tr ng-repeat="employee in employees | filter: searchText : exactMatch"] [td] {{ employee.name }} [/td] [td] {{ employee.gender }} [/td] [td] {{ employee.salary }} [/td] [td] {{ employee.city }} [/td] [/tr] [/tbody] [/table] [/div] [/body] [/html] The following example has a single search textbox, and is used to search multiple properties - name and city. smallAutoParts Announces Business And Product Catalog Expansion
Offers Large Product Selection with Free Shipping ( March 31, 2015 ) York, PA — smallAutoParts (https://www.smallautoparts.com/) is excited to announce the expansion of their product catalog to include thousands of new products and the addition of entering new markets. This announcement follows the hiring of additional staff members to help with this business expansion. Believing that small parts can have big results, smallAutoParts allows buyers to find unique auto accessories for their car, truck, SUV or bike. They can also find just the right gifts for fellow car enthusiasts at the site. smallAutoParts stocks thousands of items that are ready for shipping the same or next business day and all orders shipped within the USA include Free Shipping regardless of the order amount. Director of business development, Alexander Rab is quoted as saying, “smallAutoParts specializes in unique, small auto parts, accessories, and lifestyle items that represent our customers pride in their car. Many of our items carry the buyer’s favorite car’s logo. Our customers can be assured that it’s the real official licensed item. In fact, most of the product photos in our catalog and website are taken in-house to ensure customers get the best picture of the product they’re buying.” When a lot of companies are staying cautious, weighing their options and watching the bottom line, smallAutoParts is unprecedented in their large scale expansion efforts. Experts estimate that the Auto Parts Sales industry is expected to exceed $6 billion dollars US in sales in the year 2015. Auto parts account for about 50% of retail sales and demand for such parts is driven by the age and mileage of vehicles, which increases when fewer new cars are sold and older cars are kept on the road longer. Also, long range manufacturing trends currently changing the market of new vehicles such as safety aids and infotainment are increasing the cost of a new vehicle. This is causing consumers without much spending capital to hold on to older vehicles longer than before, making the demand for parts higher. Companies such as smallAutoParts which are willing to bet on expansion will reap the long range benefits. For more information, visit www.smallAutoParts.com. About smallAutoParts: Established in 2010, smallAutoParts started selling small auto accessories online through eBay. Shortly thereafter, they expanded to Amazon, Bonanza, and Newegg. In 2013, they launched their own website believing that offering great products with free shipping and excellent customer service was the key to success. → https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2lqsCbIe504 Company Name: smallAutoParts Name: Alexander Rab Email [email protected] Phone: 717-978-0218 Address: York, PA Zipcode: 17402 Philadelphia PA Autoparts, Philadelphia PA small autoparts, Philadelphia PA auto accessories, Philadelphia PA car accessories, Pittsburgh PA Autoparts, Allentown PA Autoparts, Erie PA Autoparts, Reading PA Autoparts, Bethlehem PA Autoparts, Bethlehem PA car accessories, Scranton PA Autoparts, Lancaster PA Autoparts, Harrisburg PA Autoparts, Altoona PA Autoparts, Altoona PA small autoparts, State College PA Autoparts, State College PA small autoparts, State College PA auto accessories, State College PA car accessories, Wilkes-Barre PA Autoparts, York PA Autoparts, York PA car accessories, Chester PA Autoparts, Los Angeles CA small autoparts, Los Angeles CA auto accessories, Los Angeles CA car accessories, San Diego CA Autoparts, San Diego CA small autoparts, → https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=B3HK7Gnbgjs

Learn how to add metadata to photos in Lightroom! Section 1: What is Metadata? Metadata is information that is stored inside of an image file. It's not visible when looking at a photo, but it includes information about when and how that photo was taken. You can ADD metadata to images to protect them with copyright information. If anyone downloads your image from online, your name will be forever stuck inside of that image. HA! To see an example of what this looks like, right click on a photo and select "Get Info." You can open up the "More Info" tab and see things like the aperture and shutter speed that the photo was taken at! Metadata can be stored in multiple file formats: JPEG, RAW, DNG, TIFF, and PS files all include metadata. Section 2: How to Add Metadata First we add copyright information by going to the Metadata tab and selecting Preset - Edit Presets. Under the IPTC copyright section, include: Copyright - Copyright symbol, Your name, All Rights Reserved Copyright Status - Copyrighted Rights Usage Terms - All Rights Reserved, No Reproduction Without Prior Permission Copyright Info URL - Your website Now, you can add the creator information. Under IPTC Creator, include (at the very least): Creator - Your name Creator City - Your city Creator Email - Your email Creator Website - Your website Lastly, enter this information into the IPTC Status Section: Credit Line - Your name, Your Company Source - Your name That's it! Remember, these are the bare minimums in terms of information. It's always better to have too much than not enough. Section 3: Creating & Syncing Presets To save all of this information that you just typed in (because who wants to do that over and over), go up to the top of your Edit Metadata Presets window and select "Save Current Settings as New Preset." You can just name the Preset as your own name, or however you will remember it. To apply that to all of you photos, select one and then change the Preset Drop Down to the one you just made! Then, Press "Sync Metadata" and it will apply it to every one of your images. Section 4: Syncing During Import Click on "Import" at the bottom left of Lightroom. Then select the desired images. Now, select your new preset by opening the "Apply During Import" tab and selecting it from the Metadata drop down menu. You can also create a preset for this process (for the extra lazy ones). At the bottom of the screen there will be an Import Preset box; select "Save Current Settings as new Preset..." from the drop down menu. Now, you can name that preset and use it in the future! Section 5: Keywords and Cataloging Keywords are another type of metadata! These can be added in Lightroom so that it is easier to search for a specific kind of image. It's great for efficient organization! Under the Keywording tab, you can type in any words you associate with your images. To apply those keywords to ALL of your photos, Shift + Click on all of the images. Then, You can click on the individual words in the "Keyword Set" Box. This will apply those words to all of your images. Section 6: Checking Online So, you've entered in all of this data but how do you know that it's really there? Well, if you'd like to check beyond Lightroom or Finder, we have found just the thing for you. Open a web browser and go to "Metapicz.com." You can upload your files directly to this site and it will display all of the metadata held within that image! Have fun and use protection!! --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Thanks for watching Phlearn! For the test procedure you will need a multimeter that is capable of measuring resistance and has a diode check symbol for testing diodes. The multimeter featured in the video is a Fluke 177. Most manufacturers IGBT devices are 100% tested before shipping and guaranteed to meet the published parametric data. We generally do not recommend re-testing by the customer because of the potential of damaging the device. BOBS 2015 BEST NEW BUSINESS: Canada Wheels
Looking for a way to upgrade your ride’s style and performance? CanadaWheels is aiming to revolutionize the online shopping experience for the automotive parts and accessories industry. Its mission is to innovate, educate and give consumers transparency with an online catalogue of 500,000 products from 200 manufacturers. The company, which is run by a team led by founder and CEO Saleh Taebi, has already built up a base of thousands of clients through organic growth and is planning its entry into the U.S. market under the brand UsaWheels.com. In addition to what consumers expect of any online retailer, such as great customer service, free shipping and a hassle-free guarantee on every order, CanadaWheels uses technology and geolocation to ensure every customer gets exactly what they need. For example, CanadaWheels’ automated compatibility Ascertainment system collects aggregate data from multiple suppliers on vehicle compatibility and physical and load-bearing metrics. It then employs a statistical model to make product recommendations. Consumers can then be assured of the right tire match for their vehicles, for example, without a physical test for fit and performance. It then uses a cost reduction algorithm based on geolocation data to help find the lowest-cost supplier for a given product, while its Wheel Visualizer tool allows consumers to see what a set of wheels would actually look like on their vehicle.

Google Shopping - What are Some New Features on Google Shopping? (Circa 2013)
Find out more about our services at http://www.cpcstrategy.com Since Google Shopping has adapted a paid model, they've been rolling out features left & right. Here are a few *new* features on Google Shopping that we're really fond of! For more information about Comparison Shopping and all things Ecommerce, check out our blog at http://www.cpcstrategy.com/blog Transcript: Hey everyone, I'm Rick Backus from CPC Strategy, and I'm making this video to answer the question, "What are some new features on Google shopping?" We get asked this a lot from our clients and other agencies and retailers just, you know, "What are the new features?" And to be honest, Google is changing this stuff really fast. It is obvious that their product development teams and their developers are actively working on Google shopping and product listing apps, which is refreshing; because when it was free, the speed and the cycle of development of these new features was really slow and so we're just going to take you into the new features. You can also download our e-book, which is like 90 pages that will help you understand the feature landscape. We'll make sure to update it too, because literally two or three times a month they're adding new features so some of the ones that we think are really cool are the 360 degree images, you can, Google has actually gone out, got the images from retailers and manufacturers, and they've created a really cool experience. I know they filtered out for toys. We saw awesome conversion rates on Q-4 for toys, and I think the 360 degree images had a big part in that. They're going to roll it out to other categories as well and like I said it's a cool feature, hopefully they continue to do it because its great for conversion rates. They also have these things called short lists, and so, as Rick, I sign up for a Rick Backus short list or a CPC Strategy short list, and I can add the products in there that are relevant to me, same way on amazon, that they have lists and there's this functionality on a lot of other sites but, it's cool that you can actually do this on Google shopping now. And so the guy behind the camera is Chris, and Chris potentially could add stuff to my short list, or we could create a CPC one, where all the employees could add stuff to that list so it's a pretty cool feature that they've added and I would imagine it helps people to become a lot more loyal to Google shopping. The last thing that we're going to discuss in this video is the catalogs. And so, these are mostly built out through apparel but they're really cool. They replicate a catalog-like experience on Google shopping and so you'll see it for a lot of apparel merchants, a lot of the traditional catalog companies, Google has reached out to them. They've established a relationship where Google can create an experience on Google shopping that's very similar to what the catalog companies were doing before. And so those are the three that we are highlighting; the 360 images, short lists, and the catalogs. Also, that's it for the video series on Google shopping, if you've actually watched all six videos and if you haven't downloaded the e-book by now what are you waiting for? Like, just download that thing, we made all these videos and the e-book's awesome, and so please check out the e-book. That's all we got. I'm Rick Backus, and we are CPC Strategy.

How To Change Core Functionality In Magento2
Today we’ll learn how would you go about changing functionality in Magento2 in a proper way. It’s a terrible idea to alter the original source code directly, because you won’t be able to upgrade the system later, and you create a big mess in your application where you don’t even know what’s original code and what’s added. Instead, similarly to Magento 1, Magento2 allows you to change, or extend, the behavior of any original method in the codebase, without even touching it, and that’s exactly what we’re going to explore in this lesson. http://mageclass.com/screencast-how-to-change-core-functionality-in-magento2/

I am actually out in Oakland for the launch of the Curry 1, but I also wanted to make sure I got you all the info on whats dropping this weekend, so lets get this show started, this is the Heat Check. Starting with today, the retooled Air Max 1 is dropping as the Air Max 1 Moire, Hope I said that right. The model is lighter than the original Air Max 1 and is also more flexible. Nike removed a bit of the material from the shoe and basically gave it a new outsole. These are dropping in a few colorways for both men and women with the Summit White.Challenge Red colorway hitting Finish Line for $130. Adidas Hoops and adidas Basketball are mixing it up today as well with the Broadway Express collection. That collection includes the Crazy 8, the Crazy 2 and the D Rose 5 Boost. All Three have a mix of metallic silver, yellow and black, color found on the actual Broadway Express subway. The Crazy 8 is $110, the Crazy 2 is $125, and the D Rose 5 Boost is the usual $140. On the lifestyle side of things, Nike Basketball is showing some love for Austin Texas on the Nike KD7 EXT Longhorn State. As many of you know, KD went to school in Austin, and Nike is celebrating that time in his life with this extension of the KD 7. The upper is made of Pony hair and the Nike Swoosh are branded at the toe and heel. Those release on Saturday for $200. Fans of ASICS will be able to grab this black and white Gel Lyte V or this GT-II this weekend if they want to switch things up a bit. As with a lot of ASICS we have seen in the past, these are a collab called the Grand Opening and will be dropping exclusively at KITH on the 9th. If you want to wait till Sunday, the Kobe 9 Elite is getting in the mix with the latest version of the “What The” series. The upper mixes several different flyknit patterns and colors in a sort of Yin and Yang style design. Again, these drop on Sunday, and look for those to cost $275. On the performance side, the newest player to the signature sneaker game, Kyrie Irving, is getting the second colorway of his shoe, the Kyrie 1 this weekend. This colorway is officially called Deceptive Red and is probably the best bang for your buck when it comes to basketball shoes. The traction on these is nice and they have just enough Zoom in the forefoot. Those will be available at Finish Line for $110 on Saturday. Keeping with performance, the Air Jordan XX9 is releasing in a new colorway this weekend. It is basically black and gym red, but it is the sonar or sonic waves on the upper that make this one stand out. Of course the modified flight plate holds thing down and that one will cost you the usual $225. And last but not least is the Air Jordan 4 Retro Remastered Legend Blue. Jordan has updated the quality and construction on the latest batch of Jordan Retro product and this Legend Blue Jordan 4 is one of the first to get the treatment. Look for those to arrive at Finish Line on Saturday for $190. Lots of good stuff on the radar this week. Be sure to click the links below because they will take you directly to the shoes.
