Entity Relationship Diagrams are comprised of 3 main categories: entities, attributes, and relationships. UML Use Case Diagrams show a system or application; then they show the people, organizations, or other systems that interact with it; and finally, they show a basic flow of what the system or application does. This tutorial explains the four main characteristics of Use Case Diagrams: systems, actors, use cases, and relationships. A system is whatever you’re developing. It could be a website, a software component, a business process, an app, or any number of other things. You represent a system with a rectangle. The next aspect of Use Case Diagrams are actors. An actor is going to be someone or something that uses our system to achieve a goal, and they're represented by a stick figure. Use Cases are elements that really start to describe what the system does. They're depicted with an oval shape and they represent an action that accomplishes some sort of task within the system. The final element in Use Case Diagrams are relationships, which show how actors and use cases interact with each other. This video tutorial will teach you how to find a supplier on Alibaba & find a Chinese manufacturer. ►► Free Ebook - Make $10,000/Month Online: http://wholesaleted.com/4-step Here are our step-by-step instructions on how to find a supplier on Alibaba: Step 1: Go to Alibaba and find the search bar. Type in the name of a product that you are interested in selling. In this video I used vitamin pills as an example. Step 2: Because a lot of suppliers have duplicate listings on Alibaba for the same item (because it increases their presence in the Alibaba search engine) you will need to filter the results by clicking on “browse by suppliers.” Step 3: To filter the results down further, search by “Gold Suppliers.” Most suppliers will do this because it has become basically a prerequisite for having new buyers contact them. It doesn’t cost them much money to do this, so the results will only be filtered by a small amount. Step 4 (OPTIONAL): If the list of suppliers is still too long, then click to filter the results by “assessed supplier.” This is only necessary in very popular niches where you have a large number of suppliers that you need to filter down to a manageable amount. Step 5: Contact 10-20 suppliers at least. If you have time, then contact more. The more you contact, the better. Here is the email template referenced in our video tutorial on how to find a supplier on Alibaba: "My name is [INSERT NAME] from [INSERT BUSINESS NAME]. Our company director asked me to contact your company about working together on a lucrative, long-term venture. We are a company that sells products related to [INSERT NICHE HERE] and we do over 2 million dollars in sales each year. We’re looking to expand our product range and create a profitable partnership between your company and ours. We are planning to purchase [INSERT ITEM] to our product line. It would need to meet these specifications: * Specification (e.g size) * Specification (e.g. quantity) * Specification (e.g. colour) We have been researching different companies in China that manufacture [INSERT ITEM] and we think that your company could be a great supplier for it. We would like to get some more information and have a few questions that we would like you to please answer: * Can we please get a sample of the product as soon as possible. Can you please let us know how much you will charge for the sample, including Express shipping to [INSERT COUNTRY], zip code [INSERT ZIP CODE]? We would like to pay with PayPal. * How long will it take to receive the sample? * What types of packaging do you usually use for this product? * How long does it take to manufacture once an order has been placed? * What is the product-per-unit cost including shipping via Air Express to the United States, ZIP code 85043? * Do you accept PayPal for the full-order?" We would be very grateful if you would contact us with answers to the above questions as well as any additional policies that we may need to know. We would also like to discuss with you further about doing a sample order for the product. We are hopeful that we can start a mutually beneficial relationship. Please add me on Skype and talk to me, as this is my ideal form of communication: [INSERT ID] Alternatively you can email me back at this address: [INSERT ADDRESS] Kind regards, [NAME]” Here are some final tips to keep in mind when you are looking to find a supplier on Alibaba to manufacture your Amazon FBA private label products: Tip #1 on how to find a supplier on Alibaba: Don’t judge the supplier/manufacture by their Alibaba response rate. The Alibaba response rate only takes into account how fast they respond within Alibaba’s email system, and it doesn’t take into account how fast they reply to personal emails. This is not a good indicator of how responsive they will be to private communication, which is all you should care about. Tip #2 on how to find a supplier on Alibaba: Avoid manufacturers that try to vet your business. If a manufacturer comes back and starts asking questions about your business, clearly skeptical of the size of your company, it is best to move on. Manufacturers that do this will usually decline to work with you as they are only to work with other large companies, so you don’t want to waste your time. Tip #3 on how to find a supplier on Alibaba: It is OK to work directly with a sales rep - if they offer you a better deal. When you are looking to find a supplier on Alibaba, you’ll discover that sales reps often have inflated prices (due to commission cuts). But occasionally, a sales rep will have a better relationship with a factory and so are able to negotiate lower prices. They will also often have good english, making communication easier. Vet sales reps and treat them as equals during the process of picking and choosing the right supplier.

My name is Emma, and in today's video I am going to teach you a very, very important thing for customer service. I used to work in customer service, and this is actually one of the most important things I learned, and this is called the L-A-S-T or LAST approach. So, to get started, let's talk a little bit about: What is customer service? So, customer service is when you have customers, of course, and you're trying to make your customers as comfortable and happy as possible. You're also trying to meet their needs and expectations, and solve any problems or situations that they might have. So, customer service is a huge category. There's many, many different jobs where you use customer service. If you work in a hotel, for example, as a clerk, you know, in the lobby, as a bellhop, you will be using customer service. If you work at a restaurant as a server, you'll be using customer service, or as a hostess. If you're the manager of a store, you'll be using customer service. If you work in a business or even in a hospital, you'll be using customer service. So, pretty much any time you're dealing with people from the public and they're customers and you're trying to help them, you're doing customer service. So, there are many different problems that a customer might have. What are some examples of some problems? Can you think of anything, a problem a customer might have? Maybe somebody charged them too much for something, maybe they're in a store and the lineups are too long, maybe a customer is at a hotel and they're very unhappy because the Wi-Fi isn't working or their bed's uncomfortable. So, there's so many different problems customers might have at different types of businesses. In this video what I'm going to teach you is: What do you do when a customer has a problem? Okay? So, a very easy thing to do when a customer has a problem is called the LAST approach. "LAST", what does it stand for? Well, if a customer has a problem, the first thing you should do is listen to their problem, the next thing you should do is apologize, solve their problem, and thank them. So: Listen, Apologize, Solve, and Thank. We're going to look at expressions we use to show we're listening, expressions to apologize, expressions that can help us solve problems, and expressions to thank customers. Okay, so the first step when a customer has a problem is to listen. So, the first thing you should do is find out what the problem is. You can ask them: "What seems to be the problem?" or "How can I help you?" Okay? Once they start explaining what the problem is, very important that you look like you're actually listening and that you do listen. Okay? So, you shouldn't look at your watch: "Mm-hmm. Mm-hmm." Okay? That's a bad idea. You shouldn't look at the sky: "Uh, when is this person going to stop talking?" Okay? You shouldn't roll your eyes. Okay? No, no, no. You need to show that you actually care about what the customer is saying. So, showing you're listening is very important. You can repeat back to the customer what they're saying to show that you understand and to make sure that you did understand. So: "So what you're saying is, you know, there's no hot water in this hotel.", "So what you're saying is the Wi-Fi's not working and you're not happy with that." Okay? These are some examples. "So what you're saying is _________." You can also say: "Let me get this right..." "Let me get this right, what you're saying is that, you know, there's a problem at your table.", "What you're saying is that you've been waiting for your food for a really long time." So it's important to show that you are listening and you acknowledge what they have said. Okay. Now, sometimes with customer service you get a customer who's very angry, and maybe they start swearing, they start using very bad language. Okay? So if this happens, very important that you don't get upset. Okay? When this happened to me in the past, I would actually pretend to be a computer. I would not take anything personally. I would just smile and pretend to be a computer, and that's how I got through angry customers. So, if the person is rude... You know, it's not right if somebody is saying something rude to you, if they're swearing at you, or they're making you feel uncomfortable. So, be polite. Okay?

It allows you to document the information the business uses and I would be drawing this while discussing the processes we are concerned with automating or building an application around. It will be helpful in the step where you start to design and build your database model. For the other techniques, see my playlist Documenting software in 60 seconds https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PL67_9ze31skoZwr7Gs1KRBMxdOseRit41 Content: 00:04 An entity relationship diagram can help you both understand and explain what information is used and processed. 00:13 You're best drawing it when talking with the people involved. 00:16 Whenever a noun is used or the business group information together, draw them as boxes. 00:21 These are called entities. 00:23 For example, a customer is an entity, an invoice is one and products would be one too. 00:27 Entities should be named using the language everyone in the business uses 00:32 So if they talk about a clouent rather than using the word customer, then be sure to use that name instead. 00:39 Crows foot notation is used to show the entities are associated. 00:43 Starting with a customer relationship to orders, they may not have placed any, so we first draw a zero, but, they could have one or more. 00:51 Now you see the crows foot. 00:52 Looking at the orders, they're usually made up of one or more products. 00:56 You'd never have an order without a product, so it's slightly different than the previous relationshop 01:01 Also I didn't draw in that a product can have several orders, so let's add it now. The lesson for this is that it’s a lot easier to increase revenue/profit by upselling current customers and getting them to spend more, than it is to focus on advertising and trying to acquire more customers. When setting up your Shopify store then, focus on building funnels that upsell customers you’ve captured into spending more money with you, rather than just investing in more paid advertising. #6 Of the Aliexpress dropshipping mistakes: Not letting the market dictate what you should sell There are lots of tools at your disposal which will help you pick the right items to sell. You have the Google Keyword Research Tool which will tell you which keywords/phrases (and thus items) that people are searching for. And you have the Facebook marketing insights which tells you purchasing behaviour, what pages people like and gives you insights into the types of demographics you can target. Use these tools to help you identify items that people want to purchase. Don’t try to guess. Value Propositions: The collection of products and services a business offers to meet the needs of its customers. According to Osterwalder, (2004), a company's value proposition is what distinguishes itself from its competitors. The value proposition provides value through various elements such as newness, performance, customization, "getting the job done", design, brand/status, price, cost reduction, risk reduction, accessibility, and convenience/usability. The value propositions may be: Quantitative – price and efficiency Qualitative – overall customer experience and outcome The right hand side of the Business Model Canvas describes the customers, the channels through which you deliver services and and the relationships you have with your customers. Customer Segments: To build an effective business model, a company must identify which customers it tries to serve. Various sets of customers can be segmented based on the different needs and attributes to ensure appropriate implementation of corporate strategy meets the characteristics of selected group of clients. Channels: A company can deliver its value proposition to its targeted customers through different channels. Effective channels will distribute a company’s value proposition in ways that are fast, efficient and cost effective. An organization can reach its clients either through its own channels (store front), partner channels (major distributors), or a combination of both. Customer Relationships: To ensure the survival and success of any businesses, companies must identify the type of relationship they want to create with their customer segments. The bottom section of the canvas describes the finances. Cost Structure: This describes the most important monetary consequences while operating under different business models. A company's DOC. The tables from the back end are then 'linked' to the front end, so that it behaved as if all the objects were in one file. In some places we have made the design deliberately simple in order to keep our relationships clean and the number of tables low. This helps those new to Access to get their heads around how to create the database, but for actual use, might cause problems. We recommend that you learn more about database design from other sources before beginning your project if you intend to use it for a real business. Key topics to consider are: database normalisation theory; Inner, Left, Right and Outer Joins; Basic SQL (structured query language) use; Software Development Methodologies; UX (user experience) enhancement techniques; and of course, the very specific needs of your business, project or client. All together, a broad knowledge of these topics will allow you to design your tables with enough foresight to make the setting up of the queries, forms and reports you'll need later as easy as possible. Plus it should make the system easy to use and less likely to be corrupted or crash. Keep in mind that even if your stock database needs don't fit very well with our example parts database, or if you need an entirely different kind of system like an accounts database or CRM database, the lessons in this tutorial can still apply.

Sell an Expensive Product Without a Sales Funnel

Do I need cheaper products to build the relationship and create customer confidence first?" In this video, Danny Iny explains that this will depend on what kind of relationship you currently have with your audience and what kind of escalation you need to create in order to lead up to this sale. At a fundamental level, we need a strong relationship to sell something expensive, but you don't have to do that by selling cheaper things first. Building that relationship is about an escalating cycle of commitment and reward; ask people to make a commitment and then you reward them for doing that. For example, you probably have a mailing list that people opt-in to; that is an act of commitment that you reward with interesting newsletters. To escalate, you could give them the opportunity to attend a webinar and blow them away with the content. Then, you could get them to sign up for a test-program in exchange for a discount. The point is there are multiple paths that can be taken in the cycle of commitment of reward, each leading to a stronger relationship with you and your customer which will result in them feeling ready to make the leap and buy your product.

This Microsoft Access video tutorial picks up where Expert Level 8 left off. In this class we will continue to learn how multiple forms can link together to share data. We will work with customer and order discounts, sales tax rates, and creating a printable invoice report. Topics include: - Sharing Data Between Forms - Customer & Order Discount Rates - Default System Values Table - Multiple Sales Tax Calculations - SQL ALIAS - Printable Invoice Report - Inserting Subreports - Problems with Can Shrink - Open Report to a Specific Record This class picks up where Expert Level 8 left off. We will start by reviewing my solution to the homework assignment you were given in the last class. You were to use the discount rate on the customer form to set a discount rate on the order form, which in turn sets the discount rate for each line item on the order. This is an exercise in making multiple forms work together to share data. Next, you will learn how to set up a similar relationship to calculate sales tax. Each customer can have their own sales tax rate (some are tax exempt, others out of the state, etc.). Each order can have its own sales tax rate based on the customer. This will set the sales tax for the line items. We'll also set up a system default values table so we can set the default sales tax rate for new customers. To add another level of complexity, some products are taxable (computers) while others are not (a gallon of milk). We need to make our database smart enough to realize when to not calculate sales tax based on the product selected. You'll also learn about SQL ALIASes, and how to use the IIF function to display a "T" for taxable in the product combo box. Now, keep in mind that even if you're NOT ever going to work with sales tax in your database, these techniques are useful for many different types of situations. This is just the example that I've chosen. You should learn this stuff! Next we'll spend a good deal of time putting together a printable invoice report. You'll learn how to insert a subreport, work with report headers/footers and page headers/footers, create an order query with additional customer data, and more. Continuning with our invoice report, we'll add the company info to the header. If we're missing a company name, for example, we want to use the Can Shrink property to get rid of that empty space - but there are some problems we have to learn how to address first. We'll learn how to deal with adjacent and overlapping controls in our reports. You'll see how to use a query criteria to open a report to a specific record so you can print just one specific invoice. This is the ninth class in the Access Expert series. This class is crucial if you want to build an order entry system and calculate sales tax, but even if you think you're NEVER going to need to work with this stuff, the concepts taught in this class will help you regardless of the type of database you're building.
