This is a 1 minute playing card reading with the Pagan deck by Uusi.
The querent wanted to know more about her situation but was vague about it. She asked for a general reading for Direction.
8 of Spades, Queen of Hearts/5 of Clubs, and 9 of Hearts
All of these were pulled randomly.
The 8 of Spades has to do with disappointments, things not culminating, it can be a lack of mental or physical clarity or health. Something is in need of attention; there's a restriction that's happening.
Our querent is someone who is creative. This is saying that she needs to take action. This is a time for action. This can also be physical exercise, but it also can be just creating something with your hands. This is something she develops on your own; this is in her power.
The 9 of Hearts is, just like in tarot, the "wish come true" card, the Big Wish, great happiness, so it can happen. The 5 of Clubs also suggests it can happen. So with these 2 cards here it suggests that the restrictions she's in, she has to get out of them. There is some power that she has that she needs to apply to make this happen. And then the ultimate happiness and her deepest wish can happen.
So there's a lot of personal power here in order to make this goal happen. It's all waiting to happen for her, to open up.
Also to consider, look at the Reds and blacks. If The reds indicate a loosening up of energy and a more positive direction, you can see where this road leads. If you look at the two center cards, they go from red to Black, which means that the actions she applies may be difficult for her and feel negative, but it will lead her to a positive direction in the end, because the final cup is a red card, and also the big wish card.
My Favorite Playing Card Resources:
My two favorite resources for Playing Card readings are
1) Regina Russell's The Card Player's Handbook.
Don't be surprised when you receive this book. lt looks like an old book from a few generations back that was typed on a typewriter, but ohhhhhhhhh, the content is SO good. My copy is used so much that the cover is half torn off and it's pretty worn (well-loved). I keep it beside my bed every night for impromptu before-bed reads.
2) J David Arcuri's excellent document, Cardseer Card Meaning/The Art of Card Reading, compiled by Suzanne Nagel with information from his cartomancy blog.
I carry J David Arcuri's document everywhere I go.... in my phone and on my tablet!
All of the information and lots of additional tips and examples of J David Arcuri's readings style using the meanings from Dr. Martello and Regina Russell can be found on J David's blog at:
J David Arcuri also hosts an excellent, educational Facebook Group page that is focused around Playing Card Reading education. This is a fantastic resource for the student of Playing Card divination.
