Mona Lisa - Why so Famous?
The Mona Lisa is widely considered the greatest portrait of all time. It appears in countless advertisements, has inspired poetry, sculpture, forgeries, and theft. But seriously, why? The painting is small, only 30 x 21 inches, the color is somber, the background seems desolate and eerie, and the subject isn't anyone historically significant. So, what is all the brouhaha about? Is it really all about her mystifying gaze and a quirkly smile? Well, let's take a closer look. ********************** To check out the latest curiously awesome products from Vat19.com, click here: http://www.vat19.com/dvds/showproducts.cfm?action=new&adid=youtube For the most popular items on Vat19, click here: http://www.vat19.com/dvds/showproducts.cfm?action=popular&adid=youtube

5 Secret Codes Hidden in Famous Paintings!
5 Secret Codes Hidden in Famous Paintings! Description: Historically, painters have been considered some of the most intelligent people on Earth. Before modernity, artists and poets were also skilled mathematicians, historians, scientists, and inventors, and just as artists and writers today hide secret messages in their movies, music, and books, artists of yesteryear included their own secret messages in their paintings. These are 5 secret codes hidden in famous paintings! Let’s begin! 5.) The Final Reckoning, The Last Supper The Last Supper is a painting famous for its possible hidden meanings. The Last Supper was created by Leonardo DaVinci, from which the DaVinci code was named. While a number of theories exist about possible messages, alternative interpretations, and hidden meanings, the most interest and least overexposed is that the painting of Jesus’s last moments with his followers might actually include Da Vinci’s prediction of the end of the world. According to Da Vinci, the world would end because of a flood, similar to that in the Bible. It’s believed that math in the geometric shapes within the Last Supper might point to the time of the end of the world - 4006 A.D. 4.) Painting of John Dee http://www.smithsonianmag.com/smart-news/a-painting-of-john-dee-astrologer-to-queen-elizabeth-i-contains-a-hidden-ring-of-skulls-180957860/ John Dee was an advisor to Queen Elizabeth I. While he studied math and astronomy, he also an Occultist and magician to the Queen herself, and some even consider him the inspiration for James Bond due to his signature which was 007. One famous painting of John Dee was created by a Victorian painter named Henry Gillard Glindoni displayed a courtroom scene where Dee would is performing a magical ritual in front of Elizabeth and her guests. What you can’t see is the secret circle of skulls hidden within the painting, which was only later revealed once the painting was x-rayed. Creepier even, is the fact that the skulls appear to have an ethereal, fiery or smoky quality to them. We’ll never know why those skulls are there, and why the painter removed them. 3.) Madonna with Saint Giovannino, Aliens If UFOs are the product of extraterrestrial life, it stands to reason that perhaps, just maybe, they have visited earth longer than we’ve realized - perhaps sightings of UFOs go back hundreds or even thousands of years ago, and it’s only because of differences in language and culture that we don’t realize it. Could it be, perhaps, that UFOs were considered then to be products of the supernatural or spiritual? In this painting, arguments have been made that a UFO can be seen in the background of this painting. Just behind Mary’s head, a UFO can be seen in the background, surrounding by a glowing white, with a bystander covering his eyes from it. Could this painting, credited to an artist named Ghirlandaio, signal some type of association between Christianity and extraterrestrials or UFOs? We may never know. 2.) Et in Arcadia ego Et in Arcadia ego, or The Arcadian Shepherds, is a painting that depicts shepherds who have come across a tomb, was created by an artist named Poussin. The tomb bears the inscription, “Even in Arcadia, there am I,” and this has led some people to suggest the location of a secret treasure. That treasure might be the body of a knight templar, the body of Jesus Christ himself, the location of the holy grail, or some other historic artifact of religious significance. It may also point the way to treasure. It’s believed that the physical scenery of the location reflects the location of the real life treasure, and a coded message found near the location may have said “Poussin holds the key.” 1.) Sistine Chapel The ceiling of the Sistine Chapel is likely Michelangelo’s most famous work, a living landmark that you can still go and see today in the Vatican. The painting was commissioned from Michelangelo by the Catholic church, but it actually contains quite a few hidden, coded messages that let us know how Michelangelo really felt about his employers. One of the most famous alleged codes is in the Creation of Adam, which is actually believed to reflect the morphology of the human brain, and other paintings are said to include images of the nervous system. The painting of David and Goliath is said to feature secret Hebrew glyphs. Best of all - one of the paintings includes an image of an angel giving the Pope the finger. 7 SECRET Messages Hidden in Famous Art
7 SECRET Messages Hidden in Famous Art These are 7 SECRET Messages Hidden in Famous Art such as The Last Supper, a painting of Bill Clinton, and more. Narration provided by JaM Advertising New Mexico www.tasteofjam.com Leonardo Da Vinci was a man of many talents; he was an inventor, architect, scientist, sculptor, and of course an artist. But there’s one more talent Da Vinci is known for which may have been hidden in one of his most famous works, The Last Supper, and that talent was music. Michelangelo’s The Creation of Adam is one of the most iconic images in human history, depicting the Book of Genesis scene where God breathes life into Adam…through his fingers obviously, because a painting of the Lord Almighty going mouth to mouth with Adam may have been a little risqué for the walls of the Sistine Chapel. But in 1990 an American physician Dr Frank Meshberger noticed something familiar about the area surrounding God. What is that weird shape that the Lord seems to be crowdsurfing out from? Take a look at this image of Domenico Ghirlandaio’s painting the Madonna with Saint Giovannino and see what catches your eye immediately. Is it the attractive lady in the centre, perhaps it’s the baby with the low slung slacks trying to give her a high five while an angel baby checks out his sweet six pack. That kid is more ripped than I’ll ever be. Or maybe the first thing you noticed was the strange object hovering in the sky, and the dude below it wondering what the hell it is. 4.) A Message For The Pope This is Michelangelo’s The Prophet Zechariah, and it was painted in the Sistine Chapel in 1512 during the reign of Pope Julius the second. Now to say Pope Julius wasn’t everybody’s favourite is a bit like saying people thought the new Call of Duty trailer looked a little crappy. Julius the second was known as Il Papa Terrible, and you can translate that for yourself. But Michelangelo wasn’t a fan either, and it is believed that he painted Zechariah in a way which closely resembles Pope Julius. So we already know that Leonardo Da Vinci likes to hide musical scores in his work, but what secrets could possibly remain hidden in the Mona Lisa, one of the world’s most famous pictures of someone being forced to smile on picture day? Many theories have been thrown around regarding the layout of the picture, such as the idea that Mona Lisa was pregnant due to the arrangements of her hands, that she may have been a prostitute due to her lack of facial hair, and when the image was analysed by a doctor he noticed that Mona Lisa may have been suffering from a tumour in her right eye, a tumour Da Vinci clearly must’ve noticed, so did he tell her? This is a portrait of former President Bill Clinton which hangs in the Smithsonian Natural Portrait Gallery, and its artist Nelson Shanks has admitted that hidden within the painting is a reference to one of the most shocking moments of Clinton’s presidency. 1.) The Mysterious Musical Maestro This is a painting of classical composer Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart when he was just six years old. The painting was created by Pietro Antonio Lorenzoni in 1763, but did you know that the way Mozart is depicted hints at his membership of the world’s most secretive society? The mysterious Freemasons.

His creative genius and his inventive spirit and have left a mark in different fields of study and art. Meaning of MONA LISA's emotions – computer analysis results
Leonardo Da Vinci is the author of several prominent artworks, which is known by millions of art lovers all over the world. But the most popular of them is, probably, the Mona Lisa (also known as La Gioconda). Da Vinci used all this skills, creative thinking and a technique called sfumato to create unusual face expression of Mona Lisa, which got many people thinking, what the author was trying to safe with such an expression. As human thoughts are subjective, computer experts, who were finishing their face recognition software, decided to let the computer analyze the face of La Gioconda. And the results are quite surprising: the machine considers Mona Lisa to be happy (83%), disgusted (8%), fearful (6%) and angry (2%). So such odd combination was noticed on the face. Such scientific experiments seem to be pretty fun and we are sure that other experts will analyze the works of Leonardo da Vinci. If you are fascinated by this artist, please check out this video presentation: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_XrBNska7Wg We have put together a short list of fun Leonardo facts and here are just some of them: - the art of mirror writing and the proof that Da Vinci successfully mastered this skill; - the most popular inventions and their real possibilities; - Codex Leicester as the most expensive book in the history; - theories about the meaning of Mona Lisa; - and many more to come. Mona Lisa - Painting by Leonardo da Vinci
Mona Lisa is a half-length portrait of a woman by the Italian painter, draftsman, sculptor, architect, and engineer Leonardo da Vinci, probably the world’s most-famous painting. It is in oil on a white Lombardy poplar panel, and was painted sometime between 1503 and 1519, when Leonardo was living in Florence, and it now hangs in the Louvre, in Paris, where it remains an object of pilgrimage in the 21st century. Leonardo Da Vinci's "Hidden Music" in The Last Supper (Mousanz Interpretation)
My interpretation of Leonardo da Vinci's "hidden music" from 'The Last Supper'. Info about this interpretation: - The theory is that each bread on the table as well as each hand is interpreted as a note. - This interpretation was inspired by Giovanni Maria Pala's research, but it's a completely different interpretation. - This adaptation claims in NO way to be accurate or definite. It's just my very own subjective adaptation in which I evidently took lots of liberties and made various assumptions. - The piece is in 3/4. The reason for this is that the Apostles seem to be divided in 4 groups of 3. - The piece is in Gm (originally transcribed in Am). The original interpretation came out in Am, taking the far rights Apostle's hand as Clef Note point. The reason I transposed it to Gm was that it had a warmer sound (to me, anyway) in that key. - The transcription was made reading from Right to Left, following Leonardo's way of writing. - The piece has exactly 8 bars and it's played on a (MIDI) Piano even though it would have probably been intended to be played on a Harpsichord or sung by a Gregorian Choir. - Most notes are interpreted as Quarter Notes. However, there are some exceptions. My only criteria to make notes have a different value was the distance between them. Notes that are too close to each other are interpreted as Eighth Notes. - There's a very short dissonance in the 4th bar which might appear to be a mistake. However, this is how my interpretation read it and, to be honest, I quite like the chaotic feel it gives to the piece. - This interpretation is labeled as 'Mousanz Interpretation' as 'Mousanz' is the name I choose to put most of my artistic works under. Who knows if this is really what Leonardo's piece was intended to sound like (if there is really such a piece)! Regardless, it was a fun music exercise for me and I hope it is an enjoyable alternative to the other interpretations out there. If you have any questions, feel free to ask me on the comments below! PS= I am currently working on a full-length adaptation/expansion of this piece with full orchestration. Stay tuned for it! *Katsumi Kotoda, 2015

Popular MONA LISA theories & the true meaning of La Gioconda
Mona Lisa, also known as La Gioconda, is the most popular artwork by the Renaissance Man, Leonardo da Vinci. Even though researches have spent a good deal of time deciphering the meaning of the portrait, which is said to be the best known and of art piece in world history, there is still no clear cut decision regarding its true meaning. Currently there are three main scientifically plausible theories of La Gioconda meaning: - such mysterious smile means that she is pregnant and no one still knows about it; - the model could have been amused, while Leonardo was creating the portrait; - Leonardo used his art talent to play a joke and disguised himself as a woman. Or maybe it is just the sfumato technique, which made the eyes of Mona Lisa so playful and mysterious – science still can’t say for sure. If you enjoy learning about Leonardo da Vinci, please check out our video presentation about this incredible artist, inventor and scientists: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_XrBNska7Wg From our presentation you will be able to find out such fun facts: - the results of computer face analysis of Mona Lisa’s emotions; - Codex Leicester by Leonardo, as the most expensive manuscript of all times; - how modern science tested the design of a Da Vinci parachute; - sfumato technique and it’s practical appliation; - and many more. Mona Lisa Analysis by Benjamin B Bradley
Benjamin B Bradley is not just a world famous musician, he is also the first person historians and art analysts turn to for expert opinions. Here, B.B. Bradley explores the true motives behind Leonardo Da Vinci’s famous painting, the Mona Lisa. We ultimately learn that Da Vinci was really painting Benjamin B Bradley but disguised him as a woman to protect Bradley’s true identity. Featuring historian Gepetto Alfredson off camera. Benjamin B Bradley character portrayed by Steve Mignacca. Produced by BetterStream.

Does ‘The Last Supper’ Really Have a Hidden Meaning?
Da Vinci's The Last Supper plays a key role in the 2006 blockbuster hit The Da Vinci Code. Although the film's claims are more fiction than fact, could the painting actually contain a message from Leonardo? From: THE REAL STORY: The Da Vinci Code http://bit.ly/1lEjFxF

the meaning of 'VIOLET UK' / MARY MONA LISA feat. Katie Fitzgerald / X JAPAN YOSHIKI
To Maha Rzem, ''yoshikinet'' is just an unofficial fansite. Even though there's more information in the world, don't you think you know everything? Why don't you do a thorough research before determining that what I say is wrong? I must say that what you presented was to simply plagiarize what was described in this video clip (2:44-). http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9LFiXCzywBM Judging by your comment, I assume you don't speak Japanese. So it seems like your comment is based on limited information translated in English, or gossip spread by word of mouth because you can't read information written in Japanese (e.g. Japanese article of Wikipedia about VIOLET UK). Nevertheless, I think that it's insulting for you to laugh at my ignorance. Don't believe without doubt that unofficial information whose source is totally unidentifiable is everything. Will you watch this video (2:30-2:49)? http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=d9BV5Q2YliQ Even though you don't know much Japanese, can't you tell he's saying black or yellow? And this is a critic about VIOLET UK in 2005, by music commentator Yūichi Hirayama(平山雄一). I'm sure these articles are based on correct information. http://blog.livedoor.jp/xvukskin/archives/52280649.html 「VIOLETは、新しい人種を想定した言葉。地球の上にはイエロー、ブラック、ホワイト、レッドなど、たくさんの人種がいますけど、そのどれにも当てはまらない存在。UKはアンダーグラウンド・キングダムの略で、新しい波を作ろうという意志」 I found English translation, too. But I want you to keep in mind that this article looks like an interview but it isn't. It's just a remark by a critic. http://www.xrdnet.com/xjapan/iv_yuichi.htm ''The word Violet refers to a new race. On this earth there are yellow, black, white, red, and many other types of people, however none of these races match this existence. UK is a short form of Underground Kingdom, means: the will to create a new wave. Once you listen to the sound in the recording of this planned album, there is an immediate explosion, a radical arousal of senses, something new. Violet UK is an amoeba-like project, where the members change according to each individual song.'' -------------------------------------------------------------------------- The word VIOLET stands for the mixture of RED of anger and BLUE of sadness. And, VIOLET implies ''BEYOND THE COLOR OF THE SKIN''. Human skin color can be crudely classified white, black, yellow, red, and brown in different people. But, VIOLET doesn't fall into any type stated above. UK is an abbreviation for Underground Kingdom. Underground literally means below the surface of the earth. And furthermore, it also implies pioneering, avant-garde, rebellious, destructive, dissident, and anti-authority . Kingdom is used here in the sense of a domain something is dominant. So Underground Kingdom, as a whole, stands for The place to do something NO ONE HAS EVER DONE.

Leonardo da Vinci's "Last Supper"; a non-fiction Interpretation
The following clip is a film version of a PowerPoint presentation I prepared in 2006 after the release of the movie "The da Vinci Code". The film as you may recall, was based on Dan Brown's extremely popular and controversial novel. The heated controversy unleashed at that time concerned the assertion that Jesus Christ was secretly married to or at least had an intimate relationship with Mary Magdalene and that Mary was pregnant with their child at the time Jesus was crucified. This theory is actually centuries old and interest in it had already been successfully reawakened several years previously in another best-selling book entitled "The Holy Blood and the Holy Grail". It describes how Joseph of Arimathea took the expecting Mary Magdalene under his wings and, in order to protect her from the persecutions of the early Christian era, brought her across the Mediterranean to the south of France where her child was born. The book further tells of a secret society which was formed to protect the offspring and bloodline of the Holy Couple and to preserve the secret of its existence throughout the ages. It asserts that this secret society is still in existence today. Dan Brown retells this legend in his novel adding the claim that Leonardo da Vinci was one of a long line of Grand Masters of the secret society and encoded its clandestine knowledge in his famous "Last Supper" fresco. This subject is still relevant for us today, because many families of today's ruling global elite trace their ancestry to a bloodline which is of the lineage of the Israelite King David, a prominent ancestor of Jesus Christ. I have already touched upon this subject in greater detail in another short film entitled "Obama, Akhenaten and the Temple of Solomon". Even if you are not interested in Dan Brown, bloodlines or secret societies, you will find that learning about the symbology of Leonardo da Vinci's "Last Supper", one of humanity's greatest art masterpieces, will be a valuable enrichment of your general education. So I hope you enjoy the following film version of my previous PowerPoint presentation entitled: "A non-fiction interpretation of Leonardo da Vinci's 'Last Supper'". Victor Zelikovsky
