Oracle Database Cloning via RMAN Restore Recover Method
https://dbagenesis.com/p/oracle-advanced-rman-backup-recovery RMAN has the ability to duplicate, or clone, a database from a backup or from an active database. It is possible to create a duplicate database on a remote server with the same file structure, a remote server will a different file structure or the local server with a different file structure. Cloning the database on the remote host requires two servers. Both servers should have Oracle Software installed on them.

Oracle Tablespace PITR Recovery | TS-PITR Part - 1
https://dbagenesis.com/p/oracle-advanced-rman-backup-recovery Recovery Manager (RMAN) automatic TSPITR enables you to quickly recover one or more tablespaces in a database to an earlier time without affecting the rest of the tablespaces and objects in the database. RMAN TSPITR is most useful for the following situations: 1. You want to recover a logical database to a point different from the rest of the physical database, when multiple logical databases exist in separate tablespaces of one physical database. For example, you maintain logical databases in the orders and personnel tablespaces. An incorrect batch job or DML statement corrupts the data in only one of the tablespaces. 2. You want to recover data lost after DDL operations that change the structure of tables. You cannot use Flashback Table to rewind a table to before the point of a structural change such as a truncate table operation. 3. You want to recover a table after it has been dropped with the PURGE option. 4. You want to recover from the logical corruption of a table. You can also use Flashback Database to rewind data, but you must rewind the entire database rather than just a subset. Also, unlike TSPITR, the Flashback Database feature necessitates the overhead of maintaining flashback logs. The point in time to which you can flash back the database is more limited than the TSPITR window, which extends back to your earliest recoverable backup.

How to Restore Previous Versions of the Registry in Windows 7 by Britec
How to Restore Previous Versions of the Registry in Windows 7 If you want to manually restore a specific section of the registry from a previous System Restore snapshot, or access some specific keys from an older version of the registry, you can do so by getting access to those files and then exporting sections from them. Here's how to do it in Windows 7 or Vista. Since Windows 7 and Vista utilize Shadow Copy, otherwise known as Volume Snapshot Service, to power the "Previous Versions" feature, there are snapshots of important files taken over time, including registry hives, so we can access the older versions of registry files this way without having to do a full System Restore. How to Set Environment Variables in Windows
Follow this step by step tutorial to learn how to set environment variables from system settings in the windows operating system. Don't forget to check out our site http://howtech.tv/ for more free how-to videos! http://youtube.com/ithowtovids - our feed http://www.facebook.com/howtechtv - join us on facebook https://plus.google.com/103440382717658277879 - our group in Google+ In this tutorial, you will learn how to set environment variables in windows. Operating systems require environment variables as settings and configurations for several processes. Although these variables are automatically defined or initialized during the installation of the system or specific software, in windows, to set environment variables manually is not a difficult task. That's because windows allows us to manually add, remove or edit environment variables through system settings according to our requirements. Step # 1 -- Opening environment variables In windows, to set environmental variables, you can take two paths. Either we can go to control panel, then access the system security option, and then the system option. Or we can simply right click on My Computer and select its properties. Once we are in the system window, select the advanced system settings from the list on the left side. A new window will pop up. Over here, click on the environment variables button near the bottom of this window and you can now access the Windows environment variables. Step # 2 -- Adding a variable In this window there are two sets of environment variables, one is the "user variables", and the other is the "system variables". Choose the new button in the user variables section to open the "define a new variable" dialog window. Over here, you will be required to define the variable name as anything you wish to set, such as temporary and then define its value as the path to the directory. With that done, let's complete this process by pressing OK. Your new environment variable has been created now. Step # 3 -- Editing and removing a variable To edit an environment variable, click on it, and then click on the edit button to open a dialog window. Here we can edit the name and value of the variable. Likewise to remove an environment variable, simply click on the variable and then click on the delete button. Once all the definitions are complete, close the window and restart your computer to allow the operating system to load these settings on boot. And that's basically all you need to know for how to set environment variables in windows.

How to recover database to a point-in-time in DB2
How to recover database to a point-in-time in DB2 Hello viewers, welcome toDB Tutorials. So many of the junior DBAs are commonly asking for the database point in time recovery in these times. Lets discuss and see practical test scenario on it today. Here I have a database called "COMMDB". As we all know for the point in time recovery we must enable archive log mode. For this "COMMDB" database I've already enabled "LOGARCHMETH1" Now let me explain the scenario. In "COMMDB", I'll create a table with name test and then 'll take an online backup. And then I'll insert data in test table and then commit. Then I'll restore the database to the point-in-time by using RECOVER DATABASE command. Lets implement the scenario practically. *First lets see the list of databases in my instance: db2 list db directory * Then connect to database db2 connect to commdb * Create table test db2 create table test(id int, name varchar(20)) * Now lets take the backup db2 backup db commdb online compress include logs * Lets insert data into test db2 insert into test values(1,'db2'),(2,'dba') * Lets recover the database using "RECOVER DATABASE" command db2 recover db commdb to 2017-11-18-19.20.00 using local time * lets test the result connect to database -- db2 connect to commdb fetch the data from test table -- db2 select * from test

[Archived][1.0 SPS 08] SAP HANA What's New? Data Volume Encryption - SAP HANA Academy
For the latest tutorial videos, see the playlist https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLkzo92owKnVz2TJuTO9B71U7gTsG6beVJ In this video tutorial, Denys van Kempen discusses data volume encryption. This tutorial is part of the series SPS 08 What's New. Introduction to Data Volume Encryption (0:00 -- 1:35) To protect persisted data form unauthorized access at the operating system level SAP HANA supports data encryption in the persistence layer. The persistence layer controls the save, backup, and restore operations. This vital layer of the in-memory database guarantees that data will never be lost. Ideally a user would enable data volume encryption immediately after installing or upgrading SAP HANA. This provides complete protection by ensuring that a new root data volume encryption key is generated at the onset. Generating a New Root Key When Installing or Upgrading SAP HANA (1:35 -- 3:30) Assuming that SAP HANA has just been installed or upgraded, Denys opens a terminal session to the SAP HANA host and connects to the operating system using user sid80m. Denys generates a root encryption key by entering hdbnsutil --generateRootKeyts --type=ALL into the command line. Then after typing yes a new root key is generated. Word of caution: A user should NOT generate a new root encryption key after persistence encryption has been enabled as it will render the SAP HANA database unusable. By selecting the check mark for encrypt data volume in SAP HANA Studio and then clicking the refresh button will activate the data encryption after the next save point. Manually Triggering a Save Point (3:30 -- 4:18) In the HBD System console in SAP HANA Studio Denys enters ALTER SYSTEM SAVEPOINT and executes the command. Now all of the data will begin to be encrypted. The encryption process is dependent on the size of the data's volume and can be a very time consuming process. Creating a New Page Encryption Key (4:19 -- 6:10) SAP recommends periodically changing the page encryption key to limit the potential impact of a key becoming compromised. In SAP HANA Studio click on the key button in the top right corner of the Security HDB System console and click yes to create a new page encryption key. Additional Background Information (6:10 -- 9:10) SAP HANA's Data volume encryption uses the AES 20056 CBC algorithm. The persistent encryption root key is stored using the SAP Netweaver secure storage in the file system SSFS functionality. SAP HANA uses SSFS to protect the root encryption keys. If you want to protect lock flies you can uses the operating system to encrypt at the file system level. If you want to encrypt the entire back up you can use third party systems to integrate with the backend. Video by the SAP HANA Academy.

Upgrade Deep Security Manager latest version 😀😀 2018
Hello Friends...!!! Welcome to TechtabInfo my name is Madhu this youtube channel for Technical and it security #trendmicro #deepsecurity #deepsecurityserver https://help.deepsecurity.trendmicro.com/software-feature-releases.html Download software: Get your license activation codes. Download any required vCenter, ESXi, VMware Tools, and NSX Manager software from VMware. Download the latest patch and Deep Security Manager 10 installer (https://help.deepsecurity.trendmicro.com/software.html). Agent and relay installers are not required; they can be downloaded via the manager. See Update Deep Security software for information on installing or updating agents, relays, and the Deep Security Virtual Appliance. Verify that installers are authentic, not modified. Compromised software can occur with an insecure, plain HTTP connection or download from third parties. To verify software authenticity, compare the installer's hash with the vendor's published hash. Check compatibility: Start the installer. Before it installs anything, it checks your environment to make sure it complies with system requirements. The installer also makes sure that all your deployment components are compatible with the new version of Deep Security Manager. The readiness check generates a "to do" list of compatibility issues (if any) for your specific environment. For example, you may need to free disk space, allocate more vRAM, or upgrade old Deep Security Agents to supported versions. If you're not ready yet, you can cancel the install, and return when ready. The readiness check also customizes this guide for your environment's needs when you click View My Upgrade Guide. Before you install, all tasks under Prepare your environment must be complete. Supported Deep Security features vary by platform. See Supported features by platform. Back up your data: Before you install, make a system restore point or VM snapshot of the server and each protected computer. (Multi-node Deep Security Manager deployments should have a backup for each server node.) Also, if upgrading, stop the service and back up your existing Deep Security Manager database. Verify your backups. If you don't have backups, and the installer is interrupted for any reason, you won't be able to revert your deployment. This could require you to re-install your entire deployment. If you have an existing multi-tenant deployment, back up all databases. With Microsoft SQL and PostgreSQL, there's one main database and an additional database for each tenant. With Oracle, all tenant information is in one Deep Security Manager database, but an additional user is created for each tenant. Each user has its own tables. Hardware requirements Recommended hardware varies by enabled features, size of your deployment, and future growth. See sizing guidelines. On the Deep Security Manager server where you are running the installer, the installer's readiness check will verify hardware before it installs. If hardware does not meet minimum system requirements, the installer will either warn you about reduced performance, or block the install. Only the local server's hardware and some other deployment information that is stored in the database is tested. You must manually verify other servers' hardware, run the readiness check on any other manager nodes, or both. How to Install MacOS High Sierra on a Windows PC with VirtualBox 💻 🛠️📀
👍 Watch how to install MacOS on an Oracle VirtualBox virtual machine. The Apple policy is that MacOS should not be used with hardware from other manufacturers. However, what can you do if you need to use MacOS? In this video, I’m going to tell you how to install MacOS High Sierra operating system on a VirtualBox virtual machine. Which means that an Apple operating system will work as an add-in, or simultaneously with Microsoft Windows. Oracle VirtualBox - https://www.virtualbox.org/wiki/Downloads Video about creating an Oracle VirtualBox virtual machine, and recovering data from VDI, a virtual disk of such machine - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-J8GHEfxtcY MacOS High Sierra Patcher Tool - http://dosdude1.com/highsierra/ ISO Creation: 1. Let’s create an empty disk image: hdiutil create -o /tmp/HighSierra.cdr -size 7316m -layout SPUD -fs HFS+J 2. Mount it: hdiutil attach /tmp/HighSierra.cdr.dmg -noverify -nobrowse -mountpoint /Volumes/install_build 3. Now expand disk image file BaseSystem.dmg from the system installation files into a freshly mounted disk image: asr restore -source /Applications/Install\ macOS\ High\ Sierra.app/Contents/SharedSupport/BaseSystem.dmg -target /Volumes/install_build -noprompt -noverify –erase 4. Dismount the disk image: hdiutil detach /Volumes/OS\ X\ Base\ System 5. Convert the .dmg MacOS image file into a Windows-compatible .iso file: hdiutil convert /tmp/HighSierra.cdr.dmg -format UDTO -o /tmp/HighSierra.iso 6. And move it to the Desktop: mv /tmp/HighSierra.iso.cdr ~/Desktop/HighSierra.iso Virtual Machine Setuping: 1. Go to the Oracle VirtualBox folder: cd "C:\Program Files\Oracle\VirtualBox\" 2. Type in: VBoxManage.exe modifyvm "MacOS" --cpuidset 00000001 000306a9 04100800 7fbae3ff bfebfbff 3. VBoxManage setextradata "MacOS" "VBoxInternal/Devices/efi/0/Config/DmiSystemProduct" "MacBookPro11,3" 4. VBoxManage setextradata "MacOS" "VBoxInternal/Devices/efi/0/Config/DmiSystemVersion" "1.0" 5.
