Don't Drink and Drive Poem... Sad Touching, and says it all.

02:27
Don't Drink and Drive Poem... Sad Touching, and says it all. This is what happens when someone gets drunk and drives... :( Here's the complete poem...: I went to a party, Mom, I remembered what you said. You told me not to drink, Mom, so I drank soda instead. I really felt proud inside, Mom, the way you said I would. I didn't drink and drive, Mom, even though the others said I should. I know I did the right thing, Mom, I know you are always right. Now the party is finally ending, Mom, as everyone is driving out of sight. As I got into my car, Mom, I knew I'd get home in one piece. Because of the way you raised me, so responsible and sweet. I started to drive away, Mom, but as I pulled out into the road, the other car didn't see me, Mom, and hit me like a load. As I lay there on the pavement, Mom, I hear the policeman say the other guy is drunk, Mom, and now I'm the one who will pay. I'm lying here dying, Mom....I wish you'd get here soon. How could this happen to me, Mom? My life just burst like a balloon. There are people all around me, Mom, and they are really crying. I hear the medic say, Mom, I'll die in a short time. I just wanted to tell you, Mom, I swear I didn't drink. It was the others, Mom. The others didn't think. He was probably at the same party as I. The only difference is, he drank and I will die. Why do people drink, Mom? It can ruin your whole life. I'm feeling sharp pains now. Pains just like a knife. The guy who hit me is walking, Mom, and I don't think it's fair. I'm lying here dying and all he can do is stare. Tell my brother not to cry, Mom. Tell Daddy to be brave. And when I go to heaven, Mom, put "Daddy's Baby" on my grave. Someone should have told him, Mom, not to drink and drive. If only they had told him, Mom, I would still be alive. My breath is getting shorter, Mom. I'm becoming very scared. Please don't cry for me, Mom. When I needed you, you were always there. I have one last question, Mom, before I say good bye, "I didn't drink and drive, so why am I the one to die?" This is the end Mom, I wish I could look you in the eye To say these final words "I LOVE YOU AND...GOODBYE" This is an important message. Please pass it on .

Sad poem about drinking and driving

04:10
This is a sad but not real poem about what can happen to people when you drink and drive. It just doesn't affect you but the other people on the road around you. So please think before you drink and drive. I went to a party,Mom And remembered what you said. You told me not to drink, Mom, so I had a Sprite instead I felt proud of myself, The way you said I would, that I didn't drink and drive, though some friends said I should. I made a healthy choice, And your advice to me was right. The party finally ended, and the kids drove out of sight. I got into my car, Sure to get home in one piece. I never knew what was coming, Mom, something I expected least. Now I'm lying on the pavement, And I hear the policeman say, the kid that caused this wreck was drunk, Mom, his voice seems far away. My own blood's all around me, As I try hard not to cry. I can hear the paramedic say, this girl is going to die. I'm sure the guy had no idea, While he was flying high. Because he chose to drink and drive, now I would have to die. So why do people do it, Mom Knowing that it ruins lives? And now the pain is cutting me, like a hundred stabbing knives. Tell sister not to be afraid, Mom Tell daddy to be brave. And when I go to heaven, put "Mommy's Girl" on my grave. Someone should have taught him, That it's wrong to drink and drive. Maybe if his parents had, I'd still be alive. My breath is getting shorter, Mom I'm getting really scared These are my final moments, and I'm so unprepared. I wish that you could hold me Mom, As I lie here and die. I wish that I could say, "I love you, Mom!" So I love you and good-bye.

Drunk Driving Slam Poem/Spoken Word; For Andrea

05:05
On October 9th, 2015, Andrea Christidis passed away in hospital after being hit by a drunk driver a few days before. She had been walking back from the gym on her University's campus when the vehicle jumped the curb and struck her from behind. She was 18 years old. I lived on the same floor as Andrea in residence. As I say after the video cuts out, our rez floor is one big family, and Andrea was one of us. I decided to write a slam poem for her, about growing up with the anti-drinking and driving message and still hearing about people getting hurt due to this tragedy. This video is of me performing for my University residence at a coffee house on November 10th, 2015; a month after the incident. If you enjoy, please like and share so we can spread the message as far as we can. It's time to end this once and for all. Thank you so much :)

LAST - POEM BY: AMOS WHITNEY M.A.D.D. (MOTHERS AGAINST DRUNK DRIVING TRIBUTE)

02:03
Some feel they drive better while intoxicated and after a night of drinking all they want to do is get home. The sad part is the only thing the other person wants to do is get home too. Nothing can prepare someone to hear that a death could have been avoided if just the killer would have done what they've been told to do. When you kill someone it's forever. You think it won't happen to you and you may joke about how you never get caught - it only takes one time to destrot everything. Don't Drink And Drive.

My Christmas Eve

05:14
There are some stories that truly speak to the heart and retired Ohio State Trooper Bob Welsh’s touching poem, “My Christmas Eve”, is certainly one of them. With his permission, we had the honor of recreating his poem (original can be found here- https://chp.click/bobwelsh). Mr. Welsh’s poem represents our mission to provide the highest level of Safety, Service, and Security to those we serve. This is something which is truly shared by every member of public service, no matter the patch, badge, uniform, or job description. The opportunity to serve the people of California is the greatest of gifts and this poem is a great reminder to us all that even the smallest gesture or action can have a positive impact on those around us. The underlying message of this poem brings to light how impaired driving can impact not only your life, but the lives of those who love you. We urge you to never drive impaired. Please have a plan in place to get home safely before you celebrate this holiday season. While this video was produced internally, entirely by CHP employees, we could not have done it without the help of many people and wish to extend our gratitude to: Bob Welsh, CHP - Truckee, Michael A. Del Puppo, the CHP Museum, Loch Leven Lodge, Jax At The Tracks, Milne Towing Services, Cal-Nevada Towing, Michael Bittner, Mr. and Mrs. Calcutt, Mr. and Mrs. Wayland, and Mr. and Mrs. Ball. More of Bob Welsh's poems can be found at www.BobWelsh.com
Darren Keeler's Poem/A Moment of Silence

05:21
Darren Keeler's Poem for his son Colton, who's life was tragically taken away on March 31, 2012 by a drunk driver. Also, a moment of silence for all the victims of drunk driving. This was taken at the Stop The Carnage Rally in Red Deer, Alberta on June 8th, 2012. This rally was to bring awareness about the flawed justice system and the inadequate sentences given to IDCD (Impaired Driving Causing Death) and Vehicular Manslaughter.

Drunk Hamlet / Drinking with Hamlet - William -Hick- Shakespeare - "To beer or not to beer" poem

04:15
"Drinking with Hamlet" To Be or Not To Be spoof poem by Morien Wyn Jones ------------------------------------------------- Other poems by Morien Jones :- --- https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yuwOeJi5OQI&feature=youtu.be --- https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RSaOcJUDMDU&feature=em-upload_owner ------------------------------------------------- https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TDaEyMryaIo&list=PLK2789qGgd25LUH86V53qnXJWJnt-fOgt ------------------------------------------------- www.MorienJones.com https://www.facebook.com/the.real.poems/ ------------------------------------------------- Drinking with Hamlet To beer, or not to beer--that is the question: Whether 'tis nobler in the mind to suffer The tonics and spritzers of outrageous boredom Or to take beer against a sea of no-beers And by drinking, drink 'em. To drink, too sober-- No more--and by a beer to say we end The sobriety, and the thousand natural springwaters That sober is heir to. 'Tis a libation Devoutly to be pissed. To drink, too drunk-- Too drunked--perchance to snore: ay, there's the rub, For in that sleep of drink what mornings may come When we’ve an 'ead like ten bears, Must give us pause. There's the respect That makes calamity of so long night. For who would bear the whips and scorns of the morning after, The Technicolour Yawn, the praying to a Porcelain God The Wrath of Grapes, the carpenters in the forehead, The high cost of low living, red-eyed and bushy-tongued Crapulence. Polaxed, sossed, dawn damaged, tenderised, Bottle-ached and as sick as a small hospital, The Irish flu wearing loud shoes. Who would not beer, And grunt and sweat under a weary life, But that the dread of something after beer, The hangover country, from whose pains No paracetamol will work, befuddles the will, And makes us rather bear those ills we have Than drink and drink until we know not of? Thus consequence does make cowards of us all, And thus the native thirst of resolution Is sicklied o'er with the pale ale of thought, And enterprise of great pitcher and malt liquor With regard to the barman, we turn away And lose the name of action. -- Soft you now, To be fair, my shout! -- Guinness, in thy froth Be all my sins forgot. www.MorienJones.com Music thanks to - "Procession of the King" Kevin MacLeod (incompetech.com) Licensed under Creative Commons: By Attribution 3.0 License http://creativecommons.org/licenses/by/3.0/ "The Builder" Kevin MacLeod (incompetech.com) Licensed under Creative Commons: By Attribution 3.0 License http://creativecommons.org/licenses/by/3.0/

Poem Readig: It's Wrong to Drink and Drive

02:05
IT'S WRONG TO DRINK AND DRIVE by Sarah 'I went to a party, Mom' and remembered what you said. You told me not to drink, Mom so I had a sprite instead. I felt proud of myself, the way you said I would, that I didn't drink and drive, though some friends said I should. I made a healthy choice, and your advice to me was right as the party finally ended, and the kids drove out of sight. I got into my car, sure to get home in one piece, I never knew what was coming, Mom something I expected least. Now I'm lying on the pavement, And I hear the policeman say, 'The kid that caused this wreck was drunk, ' Mom, His voice seems far away. My own blood's all around me, as I try hard not to cry. I can hear the paramedic say, 'This girl is going to die.' I'm sure the guy had no idea, while he was flying high, because he chose to drink and drive, now I would have to die. So why do people do it, Mom Knowing that it ruins lives? And now the pain is cutting me, like a hundred stabbing knives. Tell sister not to be afraid, Mom tell daddy to be brave, and when I go to heaven, put 'Daddy's Girl' on my grave. Someone should have taught him, that its wrong to drink and drive. Maybe if his parents had, I'd still be alive. My breath is getting shorter, Mom I'm getting really scared. These are my final moments, and I'm so unprepared. I wish that you could hold me Mom, as I lie here and die. I wish that I could say I love you, Mom So I love you and good-bye.

Taking the keys from a wasted driver - Storytime

12:00
While riding my bicycle today, I saw a drunk driver almost hit someone on the sidewalk. I pedaled to the vehicle and noticed the driver was out of it so I took away her keys before she could take off again. She was not happy. I thought alcohol was supposed to make people happy? GET OFF THE ROAD. Yes, that makes me happy. My instagram: https://www.instagram.com/zachsweers/
