Ukraine’s Black Sea coast the next geopolitical flashpoint - The Kerch Strait incident in November 2018 indicates that the geographic focal point of the Russian-Ukrainian military conflict may be currently shifting from the Donets Basin to the Black and Azov Seas. Four factors in particular make further tensions between Moscow and Kyiv, along the shores of the Crimean peninsula and Ukraine’s southeastern mainland coastline probable. On November 25th 2018 Russia attacked Ukrainian naval vessels at the Kerch Strait, captured three ships and arrested the 24 sailors on board. The maritime clash indicates that the focal point of the Russian-Ukrainian military conflict may gradually shift from the Donets Basin to the Azov Sea in 2019. According to Vitaliy Kravchuk, senior researcher at the Institute of Economic Research and Policy Consulting in Kyiv, “if there are further marine incidents, it could mean the closure of the Azov ports for shipping.” Such a development would have grave economic repercussions not only for the large cities of Mariupol (approximately 455,000 inhabitants) and Berdyansk (approximately 115,000 inhabitants). These two ports have hitherto been handling about five per cent of Ukraine’s foreign trade, mostly in steel, chemicals and agricultural products. Ukraine has only limited or/and decrepit alternative transport infrastructure to redirect trade flows that have until now gone through the Mariupol and Berdyansk seaports. Continuing tensions or, worse, further escalation at the Azov Sea will above all threaten social stability in south-eastern mainland Ukraine. It can also lead to a significant reduction or even curtailment of Ukrainian economic growth in 2019 and beyond. Absent Western material reactions and international organizations In spite of these potentially grave consequences, such a scenario is not unlikely. There are several simultaneous and mutually aggravating catalysts for rising tensions along the Azov and Black Sea coastlines. They include: the reaction of the West vis-à-vis different Russian escalation schemes; the degree of involvement of international organizations in the Azov Sea; the stability and functionality of the Kerch Strait Bridge; and the unresolved issue of ensuring a sustainable fresh water supply to occupied Crimea. A major factor currently enabling escalation in the Azov region is the West’s reaction (or lack thereof) to the recent naval confrontation near the Kerch Strait Bridge. The West, so far, follows what one could call the Crimea Modus (and not the Donbas Modus) of response to rising tension between Moscow and Kyiv. The EU has not reacted materially to the capture of Ukrainian sailors, as it did after the shooting down of MH17 in July 2014. Reminiscent of its behavior in the wake of Russia’s annexation of Crimea in March 2014, the EU has instead responded by sending verbal and symbolic signals to Moscow, and may, if at all, impose some individual sanctions. The West’s largely non-material signaling may encourage the Kremlin to switch Russian military and other anti-Ukrainian activities from the Donbas to the Azov Sea and Ukraine’s south-eastern drylands. To Moscow, the latter may appear as a less risky hybrid war theatre than the Donbas, particularly in an economic sense. While continuing blockade of Ukrainian trade or further military escalation may further raise Western “concern,” apparently, the overall costs of such behavior will remain low, for the Kremlin. A second determinant of continuing or rising tensions around Crimea rather than in the Donets Basin is the involvement of international organizations (or lack thereof) in the two different regions. It is worth remembering that in 2017 Putin suggested an increase of such organizations’ presence in the Donbas. He proposed to add a small, armed UN protection contingent to the relatively large, unarmed OSCE observation mission. To be sure, this proposal did not satisfy Ukraine and the West back then and was thus not implemented. Still, Putin has been far more lenient regarding the presence of international organizations in the Donbas than with regard to the Azov Sea and Crimea. Here, the Kremlin is demonstratively blocking even a minor presence of unarmed OSCE observers, not to mention an armed UN mission. The absence of significant international organizations in the Azov Sea and on the Crimean peninsula makes Russian actions against Ukraine in that region less risky and more likely. #Mykolaiv (Ukrainian: #Миколаїв Ukrainian), also known as Nikolaev or #Nikolayev (from Russian Николаев), is a city in southern Ukraine, the administrative center of the Mykolaiv Oblast. Mykolaiv is arguably the main shipbuilding center of the Black Sea. Aside from three shipyards within the city, there are a number of research centers specializing in shipbuilding such as the State Research and Design Shipbuilding Center, Zoria-Mashproekt and others. The city has a population of 494,763 (2015 est.). The city is an important transportation hub of Ukraine (sea port, commercial port, river port, highway and railway junction, airport). Mykolaiv's orderly layout reflects the fact that its development has been well planned from the founding of the city. Its main streets, including the three main east–west Avenues, are very wide and tree-lined. A significant part of Mykolaiv's land area consists of beautiful parks. Park Peremohy (Victory) is a large park on the peninsula just north of the city center of Mykolaiv, on the north side of the Inhul river. The city uses two names, Ukrainian and Russian; there are several transliterations of each name. The Ukrainian name of the city is Микола́їв, transliterated as Mykolaiv, or (officially) Mykolayiv. The Russian name, Никола́ев, transliterates as Nikolaev or as Nikolayev. Mykolaiv is located on a peninsula in Ukraine's steppe region 65 kilometers (40 mi) from the Black Sea along the estuary of the Southern Bug river (where it meets the Inhul River). Both the Inhul River and the Southern Bug River follow very winding courses just before they join at the northeast corner of Mykolaiv. This has created several long and narrow peninsulas just north of Mykolaiv, and the main part of Mykolaiv is itself on a peninsula at a 180-degree bend in the Southern Bug River. Mykolaiv is in a primarily flat terrain area (the steppe grain-producing region of southern Ukraine). The nearest mountains to Mykolaiv are 300 kilometres (186 miles) south, at the southern end of the Crimean Peninsula. The lack of any mountain barriers north of Mykolaiv means that very cold Arctic winds can blow south, unimpeded by any terrain elevation, to Mykolaiv in winter. The area of the city is 260 square kilometres (100 sq mi). Mykolaiv is in the second time zone (Eastern European Time). Thank you very much for views, comments and likes!

Greece is known for its history and climate, but not for oil and gas. That may be about to change with a new pipeline being completed across the north of the country that will transport natural gas from the Caspian Sea to Western Europe. It's part of a European Union policy to move away from dependence on Russian gas after shipments were stopped for two weeks during the 2009 Ukraine crisis, causing shortages in southeastern Europe. Ukraine says it has successfully completed the first of two days of missile tests over the Black Sea, west of the Crimea peninsula. Russia, which annexed Crimea in 2014, had called the tests a provocation and threatened to shoot the missiles down. But on Thursday Russia's air transport agency said Ukraine had moved the border of the test area further away, apparently reducing Russian concerns. A Ukrainian official said the tests were in line with international law. Earlier this week, Ukraine issued a warning defining an area in the north of the Black Sea that aircraft should avoid on Thursday and Friday. Russia's defence ministry had said the area "violates the territorial sea borders of the Russian Federation", in a note delivered to the defence attache at the Ukrainian embassy, according to Interfax news agency.

Part 1 - U. S. Steel (Košice) to Budkovce. More amazing rail action on this extraordinary RTC tour of Slovakian railways. Broad gauge, standard gauge, parallel running next to our Grumpy Diesel, a massive twin unit electric freight locomotive and a diminutive DMU. This is one of the most unusual rail tours I’ve ever had the pleasure to be part of. Join the crew in the cab of a powerful twin unit Skoda electric locomotive to be part of this unlikely cavalcade, starting out from the U.S.Steel works near Košice and finishing up close to the Ukrainian border. The Kosice - Uzhhorod railway is a single-track 1520-mm (Russian Gauge) railway located mostly in eastern Slovakia. It is used for transporting iron ore from the Ukraine to the steel works near Košice. For much of the route it runs in tandem with the standard gauge railway serving the towns and villages along the way, over a significant part of our journey the two different gauge lines are operated as parallel single tracks, giving this almost unique opportunity for the two trains to run side by side. Ukrainian transport military plane AN-26 was shot at when flying in Ukrainian airspace over the Black Sea. It was shot with a firearm from Ukraine's offshore gas rig stolen by Russia in 2014 when it annexed Ukrainian Crimea. Russia hijacked two drilling rigs located in Ukrainian territorial waters in the Odeske natural gas field in the Black Sea, 100 kilometers east of the Ukrainian coastline. Russian propaganda claimed that the deposits in the Black Sea shelf are now Russian, because of the takeover of Crimea. Odo Puiu info invites you to watch …. Russia Loocks Down Crimea With S-400 Against Ukrainian Air Force: ‘Any Aircraft Will Be Downed”. MOSCOW has been given extra protection after a surface-to-air missile regiment, equipped with Russia’s most advanced air defence system, was deployed outside the city. The new S-400 Triumph air defence system has been deployed for combat duty in the Moscow region, according to the Russian Defence Ministry. Speaking to Russian news agency Interfax, the Defence Ministry’s Department of Information and Mass Communication said: “The SAM combat squads of the Moscow Region aerospace forces have put the new S-400 Triumph air defence missile system into service, and have gone on combat duty for the air defence of Moscow and the central industrial region of Russia. “The main task of the anti-aircraft missile troops of the Russian Aerospace Forces is air defence and protecting vital state, military, industry and energy facilities, as well as the Armed Forces troops and transport communications, from aerospace attacks.” The new missile system, known as SAM, had been trialled in Kapustin Yar in southern Russia, and following successful testing it was transported to the Moscow region last month. A total of four S-400 systems are due to enter service in 2017 after four air defence regiments were re-equipped with the new S-400 system last year. The advanced anti-aircraft systems have been providing defence for Russian forces based in Syria since November, after Russian president Vladimir Putin ordered their deployment. After their deployment was announced, Russian Defence Minister Sergey Shoigu said the S-400 system allows Russia to “destroy both sea and ground targets”. Sea targets can be destroyed from more than 215 miles away, while land targets can be struck from a distance of nearly 280 miles. The news comes amid increasing tensions between Russia and the West, with the US sending thousands of tanks to Eastern European borders with Russia to deter any perceived threat from Putin. The measures are aimed at reassuring US allies in the region following Russia's annexation of Crimea in 2014. US and Polish forces are expected to participate in a large 'massing' exercise in Poland at the end of the month. Thanks for watching. (Please read the story below.) Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/XLProjectsNetwork Website: http://www.XLProjects.net Twitter: https://twitter.com/XLPNetwork XLP member Dealex Transport LLC successfully carried Tukan slewing cranes, 400 metric tons each, from Split, Croatia, to Yuzhny, Ukraine. From the beginning, the project seemed very complex. There was a shallow port of loading. The budget was very tight. The shipyard where the cranes were manufactured had no experience in preparations for loading of such cargoes. High center of gravity of the cargo units created stability problems during work of the vessel’s cranes. The nature of the quay and the basin did not permit roll on – roll off loading. Nevertheless, a solution was found and the cranes were successfully loaded, carried and discharged at the port of destination. The vessel had to sail with open hatch. One of the cranes had to be carried in “less than semi-assembled” condition to counter the stability issue. So the crane was assembled right during discharging. Owing to highly professional performance of the crew of the chartered from Hansa Heavy Lift vessel this task was successfully completed despite of a windy weather. A new hydrofoil ship meant to transport up to 120 passengers along sea coast routes has been floated by a Russian producer. The design was popular in the Soviet Union, but modern Russia has not built such vessels for almost two decades. Hydrofoil works similarly to a regular aerofoil, creating lift for a moving craft. A speeding hydrofoil ship rises above the water with only the foils staying under it, greatly reducing drag and allowing greater speeds to be reached. A French hydrofoil trimaran called “Hydroptère” set the world sailing speed record in 2009 and remains the fastest vessel in the world, with a sail of over 400 square feet. Among the drawbacks of the design are complexity, poorer fuel efficiency compared with conventional boats and some risks when operating in littered waters or during harsh weather conditions. Still, the boats have found their use as military patrol boats, ferry vessels, leisure craft and even in water sports. Hydrofoils were popular in the Soviet Union, with dozens of operations throughout the country. But soon after the country’s breakup, the production of new hydrofoils was discontinued, partially due to a worldwide trend disfavoring the technology and also because manufacturers were struggling for survival in the new economy. The hydrofoil passenger boat of the Kometa 120M project, which was floated for the first time on Friday, aims to reverse the situation. The producer, Vympel, says it plans to build at least five such boats and hopes to get contracts for over 20, potentially exporting to countries like Greece or Croatia. Kometa 120M, an upgraded Soviet design, is a 73-ton warm sea transport with top speed of 35 knots (65 km/h) and an operational range of 200 nautical miles (370 km). It has a business-class section for 22 passengers, an economy class for 98 and it requires 5 crew members to operate. The new ship is to undergo sea trials over the coming months in the Black Sea and may enter service next year, according to Vympel. She is expected to operate as a ferry connecting the Crimean ports Sevastopol and Yalta. The producer plans to name her Chaika (“Seagull”), after the call sign of pioneer lady cosmonaut Valentina Tereshkova, who took part in the floating ceremony. The ability of the hydrofoil to win its share of the transport market remains to be determined. Vympel is a veteran producer of military ships and specialized craft such as towboats or firefighting boats, but Kometa 120M is its first passenger ship design. The production took over four years and had backing from the Russian government, but the model is yet to demonstrate its ability to compete with other craft.

Crisis in Ukraine: Russia Extends its Control over the Black Sea and Strategic Waterways On May 15, President Vladimir Putin took part in the opening ceremony of the Crimean Bridge – “a super 19-kilometre-long construction” linking Crimea to Russia’s Krasnodar region. This bridge is strategic and broader the economic and geopolitical implications in the region. The decision of Crimea to join the Russian Federation has strategic and geopolitical implications. The union of Crimea with Russia redefines both the geography as well as the geopolitical chessboard in the Black Sea basin. It constitutes a major setback for US-NATO, whose longstanding objective has been to integrate Ukraine into NATO with a view to undermining Russia, while extending Western military presence in the Black Sea basin. With the March 18, 2014 Treaty signed between Russia and Crimea, the Russian Federation will extend its control over the Black Sea as well over the Sea of Azov, the West coastline of which borders on Eastern Ukraine and the Donesk region. Under the agreement between Russia and Crimea announced by president Putin, two “constituent regions” of Crimea will join the Russian Federation: the “Republic of Crimea” and the “City of Sevastopol”. Both will have the status of “autonomous regions”. The status of Sevastopol as an autonomous entity separate from Crimea is related to the location of Russia’s Naval base in Sevastopol. Since the break-up of the Soviet Union, Russia retained its naval base in Sevastopol under a bilateral agreement with Ukraine. With the signing of the March 18th Treaty, that agreement is null and void. Sevastopol including the Russian naval base become part of an autonomous region within the Russian Federation. The naval base is no within Ukraine under a lease agreement. Moreover, Crimea’s territorial waters now belong to the Russian Federation. Russia now formally controls a much larger portion of the Black Sea, which includes the entire coastline of the Crimean peninsula. The Eastern part of Crimea –including the Kerch straits– are now under Russia’s jurisdiction control. On the Eastern side of the Kerch straits is Russia’s Krasnodar region and extending southwards are the port cities of Novorossiysk and Sochi. Novorossiysk is also strategic. It is Russia’s largest commercial port on the Black Sea, at the cross-roads of major oil and gas pipelines between the Black Sea and Caspian sea. Historically, the Kerch straits have played a strategic role. They constitute a gateway from the Black Sea to Russia’s major waterways including the Don and the Volga. During World War II, the Kerch peninsula occupied by Nazi Germany was an important point of transit by land and water. In the coldest months of Winter, it became an ice bridge linking Crimea to the Krasnodar region. The Kerch straits are about 5 kilometers in length and 4.5 km. wide at the narrowest point between the tip of Eastern Crimea and the peninsula of Taman. Kerch is a major commercial port linked to railway, ferry and river routes. the integration of Crimea into the Russian Federation means that Moscow is now in full control of the Kerch Straits linking the Black Sea to the Sea of Azov. The Ukrainian authorities are no longer in control of the port of Kerch. The bilateral agreement between Russia and Ukraine governing the maritime route through the Kerch straights has been scrapped. The straits constitute an entry point into Russia’s major river waterways. The Sea of Azov connects with the Don River and the Volga, through the Volga Don Canal. In turn, the Volga flows into the Caspian sea. The Kerch straits are strategic. The Kerch-Yenikalskiy Canal allows large vessels to transit from the Black sea to the Sea of Azov. the Kerch Straits link the Black Sea to the Volga which in turn connects to the Moscow river through the Volga-Moskva canal. Full control of the narrow Kerch straits by Russia ensures unimpeded maritime transit from the Black Sea to Russia’s capital as well as the maritime route to the Caspian Sea. The Russia-Ukraine 2013 agreement pertaining to the construction of the bridge had, for all purposes already been scrapped before March 16. Crimea’s union to Russia was already in the pipeline prior to the referendum, it was a fait accompli. Less than two weeks before the March 16 Referendum, at the height of the crisis in Ukraine, Russia’s Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev ordered the state-road building corporation “Russian Highways” “to create a subsidiary company that will oversee the building of a bridge across the Kerch Strait”. This bridge would largely be geared towards train transport routes linking Western and Eastern Europe to the Caspian Sea basin, Kazakhstan and China. subscribe: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UC9IFRHTtYJFjhI5fBrLIJiQ Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/DNA997

PUTIN ANGRY : Russia lashes out at NATO over ‘aggravating’ Black Sea military build-up RUSSIA has issued an ominous threat after NATO Secretary General Stoltenberg revealed plans to beef up its military presence in the Black Sea - warning such a move had the potential to aggravate still further simmering tensions in the region. The country’s Deputy Foreign Minister Alexander Grushko was speaking in advance of the arrival of several NATO warships which will conduct a series of naval drills in the Black Sea in the next few days. He told Russia’s state-run news agency TASS: "This is not a surprise for us; they have been saying for a while that they want to strengthen their positions in the Black Sea. We are talking about the strengthening of military and maritime forces of NATO member states, first and foremost, Romania and Bulgaria, plus non-coastal states entering the Black Sea more often. "It is our understanding that this activity aggravates the situation in the sphere of security." Sounding a conciliatory note, he added: "The Black Sea has always been the sea of cooperation, even taking into account certain conflicts. "We need to strengthen security through increasing cooperation in the spheres of energy and transport. First and foremost, this is necessary for the Black Sea states. "As for the military matters, we strictly adhere to the provisions of the Montreux Convention, which has been a key element of the security architecture in the region for dozens of years.” The Convention, which was signed in 1936 and gives Turkey control over Turkish Straits which link the Mediterranean Sea and the Black Sea, was “unique” because it covers maritime military matters, Mr Grushko said. He added: “Secondly, BLACKSEAFOR [the Black Sea Naval Cooperation Task Group] continues to exist, which unites all states and is aimed at fulfilling strictly peaceful tasks, namely maritime search and rescue, as well as tasks related to new security threats.” Speaking at a press conference in Brussels yesterday, Mr Stoltenberg said the alliance was looking to strengthen its presence in the Black Sea to support Ukraine, from which Russia annexed Crimea in 2014. He added: “NATO allies have of course clearly stated that Russia's aggressive actions against Ukraine are unacceptable.” Referring to recent military clashes in which a Russian warship rammed three Ukrainian vessels, and the subsequent arrest of 24 Ukrainian sailors, he added: “The illegal annexation of Crimea, the continuing efforts to try to destabilise Ukraine through its efforts and presence in Donbas, and also, of course, the totally unjustified seizure of the Ukrainian ships near the Kerch Strait. "We are now looking into what more we can do, "We are looking into whether we can increase our presence in the Black Sea and in the near future, in a few days, we'll have NATO ships in the Black Sea, participating in an exercise. “So we have significantly increased our presence at sea but also in the air and on land in the Black Sea region. “All of this is also part of our support to Ukraine.” His comments came two days after he said NATO “planning for a world without the INF Treaty”, a reference to the landmark 1987 agreement signed by Mikhail Gorbachev and Ronald Reagan aimed at limiting nuclear proliferation, which the United States pulled out of last month, citing alleged Russian violations. Mr Stoltenberg, who was gearing for a meeting with defence ministers of NATO’s member states, added: “We will discuss what steps NATO should take to adapt to a world with more Russian missiles. “Any steps we take will be coordinated, measured, and defensive. “And we do not intend to deploy new ground-based nuclear missiles in Europe.” Subscribe Now : https://www.youtube.com/channel/UC0IlEuu4TA9wq1u60tLMqBw?sub_confirmation=1 Facebook: https://facebook.com/USMilitaryNewsVideos Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/militaryvideos_ Twitter:

Odessa (Ukrainian spelling: Одеса, Україна) is Ukraine's third largest city, located on the Black Sea coast. Odessa is a major seaport and transportation hub and an attractive tourist destination. Mainly frequented by Ukrainian and Russian tourists, Odessa is known for its beaches, clubs, nightlife, but also for cultural events. There is a huge variety of restaurants and bars, catering to all culinary tastes. In this video, you can see some footage from my visit to Odessa in July 2016. The beaches shown in the video are Langeron Beach and Arcadia Beach. The beach club in the last part of the video is Ibiza Beach Club on Arcadia Beach, an upscale location with nice swimming pools and great Ibiza style house music, but comparatively high prices for drinks and loungers. The water quality of the Black Sea was quite poor. The water was oily and contained plenty of algae. It was better to use the swimming pools of the beach clubs. English was not widely spoken, as the tourist industry is fully oriented towards Russian visitors. We left the city with mixed feelings. There were lots of good restaurants and cultural attractions and we enjoyed walking along the beaches. The area around the Opera House and Potemkin stairs was really nice. Odessa's pop-up coffee trucks provided great refreshments at very affordable prices. However, we would not recommend Odessa for a proper beach holiday. Compared to other beach towns in Europe, the infrastructure just doesn't meet certain standards yet. -------------------- Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/grazandbeyond/ Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/grazandbeyond/ YouTube: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCo6Q2-oVQCOj3oPCQ4cGVSw Graz and beyond - Blog: http://www.grazandbeyond.com/ -------------------- Music: Kenno - The Beach (Original Mix) Soundcloud: http://www.soundcloud.com/kenno Spotify: https://open.spotify.com/artist/4fPQVQAFiRySPSBTpr68W1 Thanks to Kenno for his permission to use his great track for this video!

This is dubbed the ‘New Silk Road' - connecting Ukraine and Asia without going through Russia. The first cargo ship departs the Black Sea port of Illichivsk near Odesa. On it, a dozen containers bound for Georgia, Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan and eventually China. So you live outside the USA; maybe you’re from England, or the Ukraine or a really beautiful island somewhere in a beautiful part of the world…if that is the case, please invite us over for dinner. In the meantime, Let’s walk through the steps of your order together…. When you are purchasing your amazing new goodies, you may have noticed that the shipping rates are VERY LOW. This is because they are registering as USA ship-to prices…which is not accurate…because you’re not located in the USA. As a general guideline, International Shipping Rates are going to be around 3-4x higher than USA shipping rates. This is probably because your parcel has to cross a lot of water by plane or boat, and that is an expensive process…..not to mention, a lot of people have to work together to get that parcel to you, and those people probably want to be paid. Each box is going to cost you around $80 to $160. The rate will be based on how far you are from Michigan, the size of the box and its weight. While Canada is the cheapest place for us to ship to, Australia and Africa are the most expensive. Most countries only allow you to import a box about the size of a microwave through standard mail. This means that if you order a ton of stuff, it is going to take more than one box because it is virtually impossible to fit a ton of stuff into one medium-size box. We will never know the exact amount it will cost to ship your items to you until we pull them, package them, weigh them then enter your address into our Shipping Program. IMPORTING As an international buyer, it is important that you know your countries Importing Laws. Some countries are very strict on what you’re allowed to receive. Most countries do not allow flammables, this means, no aerosol hair spray, perfume, home fragrance spray or items containing a flammable amount of alcohol, but sometimes you’re allowed to buy these, if they are very small amounts. Believe it or not, some countries won’t allow you to import certain types of materials or, like in Japan, you are limited to the quantity of clothing you are allowed to import. The easiest way to find out your countries guidelines is to Google search your country name along with the words “importing regulations” or “prohibited items”. We do not review incoming orders to determine if the merchandise you are ordering is allowed into your Country. If you try to import items not allowed into your country, there is a strong chance that Customs will refuse, or, even worse, destroy your parcel. We do not offer any form of refund or credit for parcels refused or confiscated by Customs, so, please, do your research before you order. Our international buyers often ask us “When will my parcel arrive?” – great question! Your parcel will arrive when it has finished traveling across the world, going through numerous checkpoints and inspections and reaches its destination. sometimes parcels arrive in as little as 6 business days, other times it is 3 months . Unfortunately there is no way for us to make your parcel travel faster; BUT, it is important that you Add Insurance to your parcel because, in the event that the parcel is undelivered for over 30 days, we can file an investigation with the carrier. This will result in either your parcel being delivered OR a refund through the carrier. CUSTOMS FORMS: We are asked on a regular basis if we can lie and say the merchandise is only worth a dollar so our International Buyers can avoid paying taxes on the merchandise. While nobody likes paying taxes, it is actually not in your best interest to have the merchandise incorrectly valued because, in the event that the parcel does get lost or damaged, instead of getting back $200 or $400 or whatever you paid, your refund will be the worthless $1 that you said the items were worth….and that would make you angry…and sad…and when you’re sad, we are sad too. To make a long story short, we do not falsify Customs Forms. So, with all that in mind, if you’re looking to order a lot of stuff and save some money, one thing you can consider is to use a Freight Forwarder. A Freight Forwarder is a company located inside the USA that will accept the merchandise from us and literally, forward it to you. Each forwarder is going to have their own fees, but we have seen fees as low as $1 per pound plus $25 per transaction. If you wish to use a forwarder, simply contact us by email to let us know.

Russian/Nat Russia is heating up tensions with NATO by announcing plans to deploy more ships into the Adriatic Sea near the Balkans. Russian defence Minster Marshal Igor Sergeev announced the move after the Russian delegation to Yugoslavia returned from its peace mission on Wednesday. Russian press speculated that Sergeev and Russian generals had made the decision after talks with Yugoslav president Slobodan Milosevic and his military chiefs. Russia's navy was preparing to send a reconnaissance ship from its Black Sea fleet into the Adriatic Sea on a mission western analysts claim amounts to a spying mission for the Serbs on NATO's forces. In Sevastopol, the home of the Black Sea Fleet, sailors were carrying out last minute checks and repairs on a navy ship destined for the Adriatic. The reconnaissance ship, called "Liman", is due to leave the Crimean port of Sevastopol on Saturday. But the Black Sea Fleet has first to receive permission from the Turkish government for its ships to pass through the Bosphorus and into the Mediterranean. However, a senior Russian navy officer said the fleet already has permission for another group of seven ships to pass through the Bosphorus at a later date. SOUNDBITE: (English) "The press service of the Black Sea Fleet confirms that the reconnaissance ship Liman will move out into the Mediterranean Sea for a closer examination of the situation in the region of the Kosovo conflict." SUPER CAPTION: Captain Andrei Krylov, deputy head of press service Black Sea Fleet Moscow newspapers said the next batch of ships could include vessels capable of carrying the feared S-300 anti-aircraft rocket complex and one assault ship designed to transport a battalion of marines and their armour. SOUNDBITE: (English) "As far as information about another seven ships of the fleet based in Sevastopol goes, the press service confirms at present preparations are under way to get the ships ready for planned exercises in the Mediterranean Sea from April 19-29." SUPER CAPTION: Captain Andrei Krylov, deputy head of press service Black Sea Fleet The presence of Russian ships so close to the theatre of war have added to the tensions in the Balkans. It is expected the Russian ships will be under constant surveillance from NATO ships as soon as they near the Balkan conflict zone. U.S. Military Build-up on Russia Border - Days after Putin's 'Mock Invasion' Drills Revealed THE US has ramped up its military response to Russian aggression, with plans for a permanent military base in Poland - and a rapid build of tanks along Vladimir Putin’s border. The US is hitting back at Russian aggression with a terrifying military build-up, according to lead allies of the Trump administration. The US struck a colossal £320million deal with Poland to set up a ballistic missile system in the country - with rockets capable of striking targets within Russia. At the same time, incredible images this week showed US battle tanks arriving in Poland on the border with Russia ahead of one of the world’s biggest ever military drills. Poland’s foreign minister also admitted that his country is working on creating a “permanent American military base” in the country to compete with Russia. This has sparked fear around the possibility of a military clash between the two global superpowers. Following the purchase of the M142 HIMARS weapons system, foreign minister Jacek Czaputowicz said Poland and the US were “continuing discussions” regarding further US deployments on Polish soil. The large-scale Polish drills with the US is part of Operation Atlantic Resolve – a military bid to stop the spread of Russian influence. Congressman Mike Turner told CNBC at the Munich Security Conference: “Trump has made efforts to arm the soldiers in Ukraine, against Russian aggression. “He has moved to increase sanctions. He has moved to increase - almost double - the amount of European reassurance dollars. “And he has moved US troops into Europe as well as equipment in countries like Poland.” “We are rising toward countering Russian aggression.” The concern around an outbreak of war between Russia and the US comes after reports this week that Russia had carried out a “mock invasion” exercise over Norway. Lieutenant General Morten Haga Lunde of the Norwegian Intelligence Service revealed this week that Russia staged “two practice attack runs” last year. In the simulated attack, eleven Su-24 ‘Fencer’ strike aircraft formed an attack profile and aimed directly at a Norwegian outpost. Lieutenant Lunde added that Russia had also jammed GPS signals of Norway’s radar stations. He said: “Jamming is also a threat to, among others, civilian air traffic and police and health operations in peacetime.” “Obviously, the Russians know that their fighter jets are being tracked by radar when they operate in this region and when they approach Norwegian installations, bases or naval exercise areas in attack formation. “Such behaviour does not exactly contribute to an atmosphere of trust and predictability at the regional level.” Norwegian defence analyst Kristian Atland says the attack run was a “deliberate and carefully planned Russian signalling operation”. http://www.euronews.com/ Appalling weather conditions in the Black Sea have proved fatal for shipping near Istanbul. The coal freighter Volgo Balt 199 sank in heavy seas with the loss of at least one crewmember. Another cargo vessel, the BBC Adriatic, was foundering nearby in high seas with 14 crewmembers on board after a mechanical failure. The vessel that sank sent a mayday in the early morning. Two rescuers also died after hitting rocks while answering the distress message. One was a fisherman. It happened near the northern end of the Bosphorus Strait, one of the busiest shipping lanes in the world. Four crew were rescued, but seven of the Ukrainian and Russian ship's company are still missing. Turkey's transport minister said rescue efforts by helicopters and coastguard ships were being hampered by increasingly bad weather. http://www.undergroundworldnews.com Ukraine is reportedly failing India with upgrades to its An-32 transport aircraft. At least five planes have allegedly gone missing in Ukraine. Meanwhile, work on Indian soil has been halted after Ukrainian engineers were pulled out. The Indian Air Force sent 40 An-32s to Ukraine to be upgraded at the Kiev-based state-owned Antonov plant under a 2009 service contract. But the last five of them have become “untraceable,” an Indian Air Force official told Defense News. Another 64 An-32 had to be upgraded locally, but Ukrainian engines tasked with the job departed and the supply of spare parts stopped, he added. "These five aircraft are almost lost as it is difficult to trace them and diplomatic efforts to find their whereabouts have failed," the anonymous official is quoted as saying. http://rt.com/news/245145-india-warplanes-missing-ukraine/

RUSSIA has issued an ominous threat after NATO Secretary General Stoltenberg revealed plans to beef up its military presence in the Black Sea - warning such a move had the potential to aggravate still further simmering tensions in the region. It is our understanding that this activity aggravates the situation in the sphere of security." Sounding a conciliatory note, he added: "The Black Sea has always been the sea of cooperation, even taking into account certain conflicts. “And we do not intend to deploy new ground-based nuclear missiles in Europe.” Thank you for watching.
