Here's the link: https://wplearninglab.com/contact-form-7-css-style-almost-anything/ I'll also paste the styles below: /* Submit Button CSS Styles */ .wpcf7 input[type=submit] { padding:15px 45px; background:#FF0000; color:#fff; font-size:30px; font-weight:bold; border:0 none; cursor:pointer; -webkit-border-radius: 5px; border-radius: 5px; } /* Label Text Styles */ .wpcf7 label { padding: 0 0 10px 0; font-size: 20px; } /* Text Input Field Styles */ .wpcf7 input[type=text], .wpcf7 input[type=email], .wpcf7 input[type=url], .wpcf7 input[type=tel], .wpcf7 input[type=number], .wpcf7 .wpcf7-select{ font-size:30px; border: 1px solid red; } /* Textarea Field Styles */ .wpcf7 textarea { width: 100%; color: red; font-size: 20px; border-color:red; } /* Overall form styles */ .wpcf7 { background-color:gray; } Remember that these styles need to go into your CSS stylesheet or if you are putting them right into the header of your site they need to be between style tags. If you are lucky enough to have a theme that allows custom CSS, you can copy and paste them into there. If you're not sure where to find a place where you can enter CSS, this tutorial may help you: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vLSUWT9MNlA CSS is a very forgiving language, so if you make a change that makes something look really bad just undo your change, save and everything is back to normal. CSS Responsive Multiple Column Flexible Layout Tutorial

14:48
This demonstrates a two column CSS layout with flexible images for a responsive mobile first design. You use the mobile first design approach and the flexible image design first technique. You will use link elements to target the screen width breakpoint detection and select the CSS files. These files will progressively modify styles as the screen width increases. Then within each width you see how to add @media selector queries to handle specific needs such as screen orientation and intermediate screen widths. Now you have a basic responsive layout example. It uses the mobile first and flexible image approach. It uses link elements to target the screen width detection. Then it progressively adds styles as width breakpoints increase. Then within each width breakpoint we added media queries to handle specific needs such as screen orientation an intermediate screen widths. Blog article and source files: http://bit.ly/1mtCiWC

Quick and simple CSS browser selection using PHP

02:55
Targeting CSS styles for specific platforms, browsers and even browser versions just got a lot easier thanks to the PHP CSS Browser Selector. I originally found out about this from a post over at the Web Resources Depot. Once you've added the small PHP file to your site you simply write one line of PHP to the body tag and you're done. What's great about using a PHP solution is that the classes are available immediately so there's no layout jump which usually happens when applying styles using a Javascript method. Contact Form 7 Tutorial - Create a 2-Column Responsive Form With Contact Form 7 | CF7 Tuts Part 4

Contact Form 7 Tutorial - Create a 2-Column Responsive Form With Contact Form 7 Check out https://happyforms.me/ , it's a cool new form builder that you may like better than CF7 (and it's free!): HappyForms.me Exclusive for WPLearningLab viewers, up to 50% off hosting: https://wplearninglab.com/wordpress-hosting-offer/ Putting the contact form code into the YouTube description didn't make sense because YouTube doesn't allow pointy brackets, which there are a lot of in this code. So instead, you can find it here: https://wplearninglab.com/contact-form-7-2-column-responsive-form Below are the CSS styles I mention in the video: /*--- 2 Column Form Styles Start ---*/ #left { width: 47%; float: left; margin-right:6%; } #right { width: 47%; float: left; } .clearfix:after { content:"\0020"; display:block; height:0; clear:both; visibility:hidden; overflow:hidden; margin-bottom:10px; } .clearfix { display:block; } /*--- 2 Column Form Styles End ---*/ With over 1 million active downloads, the Contact Form 7 (https://wordpress.org/plugins/contact-form-7/) plugin by Takayuki Miyoshi is one of the most popular contact form plugins around. And for good reason. It makes contact forms a breeze. In this Contact Form 7 tutorial I'm going to show you how to create a 2-column Responsive form using Contact Form 7. They key to creating a contact form using Contact Form 7 with two columns is the use of HTML Div tags and CSS floats. A regular WordPress contact form is nice, but the two columns really adds a bit of polish. First things first, if you haven't installed Contact Form 7 yet, let's do that. To install this plugin please log into your WordPress dashboard, hover over Plugins and then click on Add New. On the next page type "Contact Form 7" into the search bar. The plugin we want should be the first one in the top left. Click on the Install Now button and then click Activate after it's installed. It will add a new menu item in the left hand admin menu called Contact Form. Hover over that click on Add New. You will taken to the new form creator. First enter a name for your contact form and then paste the HTML form code into the form editor. Next, click on the Mail tab to customize the email that is generated when the form is submitted. Make sure you add all of the available fields that are at the top of the Mail tab. Watch the video to see how to do this in detail. When you're done, click on Save Changes. Next, we need to add this form to a page. After saving a blue bar will appear at the top of the form editor. Inside that blue bar is the shortcode for your form. Copy that code. Now go to Pages, then Add New to create a new page OR find the page where your contact form needs to live. Inside the page editor paste the shortcode and click on Update to save the page. When you view the page, you will see a 1 column form. Now it's time to make it 2-column and responsive using CSS. Back inside the WordPress admin find a place where you can add custom CSS. Your theme may have a special spot in the Theme Options section or you may have a code insert plugin or you may have a plugin that allows you to add CSS directly to specific pages. However it is that you add CSS, do that. Just paste in the CSS and save. As long as you didn't change the HTML, your contact form 7 will now be 2 column responsive! And that's how easy it is to create a contact form WordPress. I hope this information helps you! This is the default value if not specified. _parent - URL is loaded into the parent frame _self - URL replaces the current page _top - URL replaces any framesets that may be loaded name - name of the window features - Must be a comma-separated list. Some of the browsers does not support these features. menubar (yes/no) - Shows or hides the browser menu toolbar (yes/no) - Shows or hides the browser navigation bar location (yes/no) - Shows or hides the address field status (yes/no) - Shows or hides the status bar resizable (yes/no) - Whether or not the window is resizable scrollbars (yes/no) - Whether or not to display scroll bars top(pixels) - The top position of the window left(pixels) - The left position of the window height (pixels) - The height of the new window width (pixels) - The width of the new window replace - Specifies whether the URL creates a new entry or replaces the current entry in the browser history. Works only if the url is loaded into the same window. true - URL replaces the current document in the browser history list false - URL creates a new entry in the browser history list No parameters are passed to window.open() method. Since URL is not specified, a new window with about:blank will be opened. [input type="button" value="Open popup" onclick="window.open()" /] Most modern browsers open new tabs instead of separate windows. If you want to open the popup in a new window, one workaround I have found is to specify the URL, name, and features(height and width) parameters. This may not work in all browsers and it also depends on user's browser preferences. [input type="button" value="Open popup" onclick="window.open('http://google.com', '_blank', 'height=200,width=200')" /] When name parameter is set to _self, the new window replaces the current window [input type="button" value="Open popup" onclick="window.open('http://google.com', '_self')" /] Specify where you want the new popup window to be positioned using top and left features. [input type="button" value="Open popup" onclick="window.open('http://google.com', 'My Window', 'height=300,width=300, top=400, left=400')" /] Disable scrollbars and resizing. Works in IE but not in Chrome. [input type="button" value="Open popup" onclick="window.open('http://google.com', 'My Window', 'height=300,width=300, scrollbars=no, resizable=no')" /] To close pouup use window.close() method. [input type="button" value="Open popup" onclick="openPopup()" /] [input type="button" value="Close popup" onclick="closePopup()" /] [script type="text/javascript"] var popup; function openPopup() { popup = window.open("http://google.com","My Window", "height=300,width=300") } function closePopup() { popup.close(); } [/script]

Use the script below to create employees table and populate it with sample data. CREATE TABLE [tblEmployee] ( [EmployeeId] [int] IDENTITY PRIMARY KEY, [FirstName] [nvarchar](50), [LastName] [nvarchar](50), [DateOfBirth] [datetime], [AnnualSalary] [int], [Gender] [nvarchar](50), [DepartmentName] [nvarchar](50) ) Insert into tblEmployee values ('John','Johnson','08/10/1982',55000,'Male','IT') Insert into tblEmployee values ('Pam','Roberts','11/11/1979',62000,'Female','HR') Insert into tblEmployee values ('David','John','01/15/1980',45000,'Male','IT') Insert into tblEmployee values ('Rose','Mary','08/18/1967',78000,'Female','Payroll') Insert into tblEmployee values ('Mark','Mell','12/10/1974',69000,'Male','HR') Use "SqlDataSource" control to retrieve data from the database and bind it to gridview control. By default, all the columns from the table are displayed in the gridview control. For example, I don't want to display EmployeeId column in the gridview control. There are 3 ways to achieve this 1. You can modify "SqlDataSource" control "SELECT" query, to include only the columns that you need. 2. Remove the "BoundField" column from gridview control that displays, EmployeeId 3. Set visibility property to false on the "BoundField" column from gridview control that displays, EmployeeId Notice the column headers in the gridview control. They are same as the column names in the table. For example, we want a space between First and Name in FirstName. Similary, we want spaces for LastName, DateOfBirth, AnnualSalary and DepartmentName. FirstName = First Name LastName = Last Name DateOfBirth = Date Of Birth AnnualSalary = Annual Salary DepartmentName = Department Name To achieve this, change "HeaderText" property of the respective column, in the gridview control. When you run the application, DateOfBirth column displays both Date and Time. I want only the "date" to be displayed. We can very easily achieve this using DataFormatString property. We have set DataFormatString="{0:d}", which will display short date pattern. Setting DataFormatString="{0:D}", will display long date pattern. For the complete list of "Standard Date and Time Format Strings", please visit MSDN link below. http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-gb/library/az4se3k1.aspx For the annual salary column, I want to display currency symbol. For example, depending on your application requirement, you may want to display, either United States dollar ($), Great British Pound(£) or Indian Rupee Symbol. To achieve this use currency format string "0:c". If you want to display 2 decimal places using "0:c2" For the complete list of "Standard Numeric Format Strings", please visit MSDN link below. http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-gb/library/dwhawy9k.aspx Currency symbol will be displayed, based on the default culture setting. For example, If your default culture setting is "en-US", United States Dollar symbol will be displayed If your default culture setting is "en-GB", Great British Pound symbol will be displayed If your default culture setting is "en-IN", Indian Rupee symbol will be displayed Culture can be specified in web.config using globalization element's culture attribute. It is possible to override culture setting on a page-by-page basis. To set the culture declaratively in the aspx page, use "Culture" attribute of the "Page" directive. To override the culture programmatically System.Threading.Thread.CurrentThread.CurrentCulture = new System.Globalization.CultureInfo("en-GB");

The Responsive Row Widget - EverWeb Responsive Website Builder

04:14
Build Beautiful, Fully Responsive, Websites easily with EverWeb https://www.everwebapp.com EverWeb’s Responsive Row widget lets you to add text, shapes, images and widgets to a responsive web page layout. The width of a responsive web page automatically adjusts to the device you are viewing the page on. Widgets such as the Navigation Menu widget can also be Full Width objects and so can be added directly to a responsive page. Some widgets, such as the PayPal widget, are not full width capable and so need to be placed in to a full width container in order to work properly in a responsive web page. The Responsive Row widget acts as this container. You add non full width objects into the Responsive Row widget so that they can work properly on any device they are viewed on. TextBoxes, shapes and images can also be added in to the Responsive Row widget. These types of objects can be either be used full width or non full width. The Responsive Row widget can only be used in a responsive page layout so when adding a page to your website use the ‘responsive’ option in the Theme Template Chooser’s Filter to show only responsive theme templates or choose the blank Responsive Theme Template’s home page style. Alternatively, set the page layout field as responsive in the Page Settings tab of the Inspector Window on an existing page. Now I am going to add a Responsive Row widget to the page. Use the Widget Settings if you want to name the Responsive Row. This is a good idea if you are have many responsive row widgets in the page as it helps organise each section of you page. You will always see the name of the Responsive Row in the top left hand corner of the widget unless you have used the Window, Hide Layout option. In this example I am going to call my Responsive Row ‘Contact Row' as I want people to be able to contact me using EverWeb’s Contact Form Advanced widget. I also want to include an image and some text in to my Contact Responsive Row. Begin by drag and dropping the Contact Form Advanced widget on to the Responsive Row widget. I now want to add a TextBox with my text in it. When dragging and dropping objects such as text, shapes and images, they may appear at Full Width if the Responsive Row has not been selected beforehand. To place an object inside a Responsive Row widget, secondary click on the object that you want to embed in to the responsive row widget. Use the ‘Embed In’ menu option to select the responsive row that you want to embed the object in to. Finally I will drag and drop my image from the Assets List in to the Responsive Row widget. Use the Shape Options tab to change the Image Fill as needed. You can rearrange the order of the objects in the Responsive Row by drag and dropping the object you want to move into its new position. To use the Responsive Row’s Widget Settings, just click on it the responsive row and then go to the Widget Settings button. If other objects cover the Responsive Row, use secondary click and choose Pick Layer. Select the ‘Responsive Row’ that you want selected. With the widget selected, go to the Widget Settings and use the Vertical dropdown to align objects to either the top, middle or bottom of the responsive row. Use the Horizontal dropdown to left, center, right, justify or justify center the objects in the row. The padding options allow you to add space at the top and bottom margins to the widget and the insert margin option in the Embedded Options Settings section, lets you add horizontal and vertical spacing between each object in the Responsive Row. You can add a background to a Responsive Row widget. Select the responsive row and then go to the Shape Options button. Use the Fill Option of your choice. All Fill Options are responsive. e.g. to change the background color select Color Fill. To add a background image use Image Fill. It’s recommend to use the Scale to Fill option and a large image to make sure the image is responsive and doesn't get distorted as the browser window is resized. You can also add margins to the Responsive Row by changing the left and right margin values in Metrics Inspector. To move a Responsive Row widget, click and drag the Responsive Row to its new location. To delete a Responsive Row, select the Responsive Row and press backspace to delete the widget. Remember that when you delete the widget, all the objects embedded in it will also be deleted. If you delete a Responsive Row by mistake, use Cmd+Z to undo the action.
