Ships in storms can be so creepy to look at. Just look at those terrifying monster waves from those incredible videos. Those ships in rough seas sure look creepy. I wouldn't want to be in a ship in storm at sea.

From Nemo, the clownfish, to the beautiful and elusive Blue Sea Slug, these are 19 INCREDIBLY Colorful Sea Creatures ! 8. Blue Tang -- Undersea creatures seem to look really cool in blue … and this one is no exception. The Blue Tang shows off some amazing blue coloration complemented by bold black markings. It almost sounds like a fashion shows, right? These fish are usually found in Indo-Pacific waters and are actually bright yellow when they’re younger. The blue and black colors show up at their final phase of development. 7. Coral -- Is that a brain at the bottom of the ocean? No … but it is a brain coral … and just an example of the wide ranging variety of living coral and coral reefs, some of which are thought to have started growing over 50 million years ago. Contrary to some beliefs, coral are animals, not plants … they’re actually related to anemones and jellyfish. The reefs formed by coral provide housing for thousands of marine species, giving them a place to find food, reproduce, and keep them safe until they’re mature enough to venture into the deeper ocean. Did you know coral reef plants and animals have proven important to the development of new medicines to treat cancer, Alzheimer's and heart disease? But even with all those advantages, human activity is threatening almost 60 percent of the world’s coral reefs. 6. Flower Hat Jellyfish -- This rare species of jellyfish is a rare species usually found in the waters of southern japan, Argentina and Brazil. It can grow to a half-foot in diameter, and is easily recognizable by its translucent bell, which is pinstriped with opaque bands. Those coiling tentacles adhere to the rim while not in use. Like many pretty looking things, this jelly carries a sting … but even though it’s painful, it’s non-lethal to humans … the worst you’d get is a rash. 5. Blue Sea Slug -- We couldn’t find a lot of information on this critter. From what we’ve seen, it’s often identified as a Blue Sea Slug … but that sounds like a pedestrian name for such a colorful creature. You can see the brilliant blue coloration in this photo … the animal almost looks like an alien life form with the two antennae sticking up. We’re guessing it might be a Nudibranch (new-di-brank). Those mollusks are noted for their striking colors, and there are more than 2,300 validated species scattered about the world. Can you confirm that? Let us know in the comments! 4. Mantis Shrimp -- They’re one of the most colorful forms of marine life, but don’t be fooled. They’re also known as ferocious undersea predators that possess, pound for pound, one of the most powerful punches on the planet. Punching with speed equal to a .22 caliber bullet, the Mantis Shrimp has not only broken shells of its prey … it’s also broken through aquarium glass. Punching at that velocity makes water vaporize and explode with a sharp bang, a flash of light and extremely high heat, all of which is felt by the victim as an additional blast. Not bad for an animal that averages less than four inches long. 3. Juvenile Emperor Angelfish -- Their coloration will change with age … but while they’re young, they exhibit these amazing displays of swirling dark blue, white and electric blue. It almost look hypnotic, right? Well, the fish keeps these distinct patterns until it reaches maturity, which usually takes around 4 years. Then the fish develops blue and yellow stripes, and black shading around its eyes. 2. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Amphiprioninae Clownfish -- Did you recognize them from “Finding Nemo”? Known as one of the most brightly colored fish in the world, their bodies have distinctive white striping with colors that can vary from red, orange or yellow. They’re also known as anemone fishes, because of their mutually beneficial relationship with sea anemones. The toxic tentacles of the anemones protect clownfish from predators. And the fast movement of the fishes helps anemones find food and increase circulation. 1. The Mandarinfish -- Also known as the “Mandarin Dragonet” it swims in the Pacific reefs … but it’s less than 3 inches long so it can be difficult to see in the wild. As you might guess, this fish is highly sought after in the aquarium trade … but they’re considered extremely difficult to their strict eating habits. Some people think the Mandarinfish might be the most beautiful fish in the world … would you agree? to Epic Wildlife http://goo.gl/6rzs5u Let's Connect -- http://www.epicadamwildlife.com/ -- http://www.facebook.com/epicadamwildlife -- http://www.twitter.com/epicwildlife -- http://gplus.to/epicwildlife

▶FULL DOCUMENTARIES | http://planetdoc.tv/playlist-full-documentaries ▶ Spanish video: http://planetdoc.tv/documental-fondo-marino-de-cabrera-islas-baleares-parte-3 The Cabrera Archipelago National Park covers a surface area of 10.021 hectares, only 1,836 of which are on land. Eighteen islands and islets and the marine environment protect the land and aquatic species intimately related to the Mediterranean Sea. The Balearic Islands have a mild climate in winter and hot in summer. The erosion of the limestone has resulted in trimmed and uneven coastlines with a combination of impregnable cliffs with coves and paradise beaches. The isolation of the islands has resulted in a very high number of endemic species. Of the archipelago’s close to 450 species of vascular plants, 30 are endemic; the same is true of the land vertebrates, with the exception of the fowl, which have easy contact with the continent. The Cabrera sea bottom have tropical traits. The absolute clearness of its crystalline waters, free from continental clay and mud, produces a luminosity which allows for the existence of submarine vegetation at greater depths and therefore of the animals which live among the algae. In the area close to the surface the light is very intense enable the proliferation of plankton, algae and consequently the different species of fish, particularly herbivores. Further under, between thirty and forty metres, visibility is reduced. Large blocks of rock raise the relief of the ocean bed to form boundless caves and nooks and crannies which serve as places of refuge for the different fish species. More than two hundred fish species live in the waters of the Cabrera archipelago, from the diminutive whitebait measuring 5 centimetres to the scarce and gigantic sharks which can measure up to 12 metres. This variety, which has lured fishermen from nearby coasts since time immemorial, has become, since the creation of the National Park in April 1991, the goal of scuba diving fans. Conger eels are potentially dangerous animals. Behind their thick, fleshy lips they conceal a front row of long and powerful incisors and behind these another row of smaller but very sharp conical teeth. Despite their ferocious appearance, moray eels are timid fish which are only dangerous when forced to defend themselves. But their fear-inspiring faces have given them a terrible reputation while their neighbours, the conger eels, much more dangerous to man, are not considered a threat. The Cabrera Archipelago National Park is an example of its potential and its beauty, but also of the fragility of this threatened ecosystem which requires the joint effort of all bordering countries to guarantee its future.

Unfortunately there are not that vibrant anymore today. Coral reefs have suffered from the rise of water temperature, rise in acidity, destructive fishing methods and severe storms caused by climate change." - Peter Schneider. "Rainbow Reef Relaxation" is a 3-hour long, sweeping yet majestic & vibrant underwater journey to the world's most beautiful lagoons, as captured by Nature Relaxation collaborator Peter Schneider (Underwatercam) paired with ambient underwater sounds and brand new ambient music by the Cynic Project. Filmed in High Definition several years ago, thanks to its age this film offers magical glimpses of an underwater world that is bursting with life, color, and beauty. Unfortunately, reefs today in most of the world are suffering from severe bleaching and so with this film we hope to raise awareness by showcasing the divine beauty that only pristine underwater reefs can present, in hopes that it will motivate the viewer to take action and help save them before its too late! (https://news.nationalgeographic.com/2018/01/coral-bleaching-reefs-climate-change-el-nino-environment/) More from Peter S: "We all know that nowadays! This gives us the privilege and also duty to change and rethink our role in nature. What we also know today is that everything is connected and we are all a part of Nature, yes we are nature. So we don’t have to save the world, but recognize it as family. What we do to the world, the world will give it back to us. Equally the good and the bad things, that is law. The good news in it is, ...it is all up to you and me and everyone. You matter, I matter because we are all belonging to the same family. Now take a deep breath and join us for a dive beneath the waves." Once again in this video you'll see big waves hitting the ships in storms on the sea and ocean with occasianal hurricane force winds blowing over the deck bringing sea water with it. It really is amazing to see how the captains are able to control the ship in these incredibly scary situations in rough seas with such big monster waves. What would you do if you were in the middle of an ocean and a hurricane hit your ship?

It is used by listeners for yoga, massage, meditation, and reading as a method of stress management or to create a peaceful atmosphere in their home or other environments, and is associated with environmentalism and New Age spirituality. The harmonies in new-age music include a drone bass, and are often structured as variations on a theme. The music often contains recorded sounds of nature and used as an introduction to a track or throughout the piece. Some relaxation methods can also be used during other activities, for example, autosuggestion and prayer. At least one study has suggested that listening to certain types of music, particularly New Age music and classical music, can increase feelings associated with relaxation, such as peacefulness and a sense of ease.

My bro and I caught a pretty cool mixed bag of topical reef fish from our kayak - goatfish, wrasse, grey snapper & cornetfish - so many beautiful creatures of God's creation! Octopus was the bait fished on bottom rigs. We would drag the baits through lanes of sand between the coral or drift it a few feet over the big corral beds. In this episode, we explore some more sunken escape pod wreckages. We also discover new dry land that holds a secret story to discover and investigate. Playlist : https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLbV-mBMpYqC2L_XLFr08_Oh_uc7DyZV9o ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- (from Steam) ABOUT THIS GAME: Subnautica is an underwater adventure game set on an alien ocean planet. A massive, open world full of wonder and peril awaits you! DIVE INTO A VAST UNDERWATER WORLD: You have crash-landed on alien ocean world, and the only way to go is down. Subnautica's oceans range from sun drenched shallow coral reefs to treacherous deep-sea trenches, lava fields, and bio-luminescent underwater rivers. Manage your oxygen supply as you explore kelp forests, plateaus, reefs, and winding cave systems. The water teems with life: Some of it helpful, much of it harmful. SCAVENGE, CRAFT, SURVIVE: After crash landing in your Life Pod, the clock is ticking to find water, food, and to develop the equipment you need to explore. Collect resources from the ocean around you. Craft knives, lights, diving gear, and personal water craft. Venture deeper and further form to find rarer resources, allowing you to craft more advanced items. CONSTRUCT UNDERWATER HABITATS: Build bases on the sea floor. Choose layouts and components, and manage hull-integrity as depth and pressure increase. Use your base to store resources, park vehicles, and replenish oxygen supplies as you explore the vast ocean. UNRAVEL THE MYSTERY: What happened to this planet? Signs abound that something is not right. What caused you to crash? What is infecting the sea life? Who built the mysterious structures scattered around the ocean? Can you find a way to make it off the planet alive? DISRUPT THE FOODCHAIN: The ocean teems with life: Use the ecosystem to help you. Lure and distract a threatening creature with a fresh fish, or simply swim as fast as you can to avoid gnashing jaws of roaming predators. HANDLE THE PRESSURE: Build a Pressure Re-Active Waterproof Nanosuit, or PRAWN Suit, and explore extreme depth and heat. Modify the suit with mining drills, torpedo launchers, propulsion cannons, grappling hooks and more. FEAR THE NIGHT: As the sun goes down, the predators come out. The ocean is unforgiving of those caught unprepared in the darkness. Areas that are safe to explore during the day become treacherous at night, but also reveal a beauty that those who hide from the darkness will never see. DIVE BELOW THE OCEAN FLOOR: Cave systems wind below the sea bed, from dark claustrophobic passages to caverns lit by bio-luminescent life and burning-hot lava flows. Explore the world below the ocean floor, but watch your oxygen levels, and take care to avoid the threats lurking in the darkness. BUY ON STEAM: http://store.steampowered.com/app/264710/Subnautica/

Small enough to be personable but large enough to be private, the Tropical Inn artfully blends the intimacy of a romantic bed and breakfast with the casually understated elegance of a small hotel in the European tradition. LAST and CCT team Tropical Scientific Center working together to rescue and rehabilitate this juvenile green turtle, in Moín Beach, Costa Rica. volunteers gapyear seaturtle costarica Source - Latin American Sea Turtles - LAST Sea turtles have been living on this planet named Earth for more than 100 million years and they have travelled throughout the oceans of the world. They are one of the oldest species living on the earth. Their body structure is so much well designed that they have even survived the extinction which the dinosaurs failed to survive. But now human beings have become the greatest threat for the survival of this mighty creature. We have destroyed the harmony of nature and environment in such a way that sea turtles who have survived great extinctions are now on the brink of getting extinct. We can learn about the present condition of the earth's climate and environment by observing the present condition of the sea turtles. Sea turtles are of great economic value. They are the assets of those countries who have them in their territory. Sea beaches are popular tourists spot. Every year lots of people travel throughout the beaches of the world. And the beauty of the sea beaches is its living beings. Without corals, fishes, turtles and other estuarine animals, sea beaches lose its beauty. And to keep the ecosystem of the sea working in a proper way, all living beings should be conserved. Green sea turtles are usually herbivorous in nature. They eat sea weds and keep them short which helps to maintain the quality of the sea bed. Sea grass also needed to be cut short like lawn grass for its better growth. Sea beds provide the ground for breeding for many valuable sea animals like crustaceans, fish, shellfishes etc. If turtles get extinct, health of the sea bed will be deteriorated and sea grass will decline. As a result, animals living on grass will be lost and this will affect other big animals who live on small herbivorous animals. Eventually whole ecosystem will collapse resulting in the destruction of the living beings of the sea which is the source of beauty of the sea beaches. So tourists would not come to travel sea beaches and the countries whose economies depend on tourism will suffer in the long run. Sea beaches and dune system can not hold nutrition. So vegetation does not grow well in dunes and in beaches it does not grow at all. Sea turtles nest and lay eggs on beaches. Each turtle lays almost 100 eggs each season. Not every egg would hatch and not each of the hatchlings would be able to come out of the eggs. All these unhatched eggs and hatchlings who do not become successful in coming out of the nest and make the way to the sea are the source of nutrition in the beaches and dunes. The more the nutrition the more vegetation grows in dunes. And as more vegetation grows, ecosystem of the beaches and dunes works properly. The vegetation also grabs the sands firmly in the beaches and prevents from being eroded. This saves the beauty of the sea beach. As the number of sea turtles is decreasing day by day, nutrition sources of dunes and beaches are also decreasing as a consequence. This will lead to the failure of the whole ecosystem and as a result the beach will lose its appeal to the tourists which will affect the economy of these countries severely. Sea turtles have historical importance too. They were the symbol of aristocracy and delicacy in the ancient time. In China and Japan tortoise shell were used as a decorative ornament. They used to make it from carapace scutes of tortoise shell. Sea turtle scutes were processed by ancient Greeks and Romans to make components like brush and combs. Aristocrat class people used these tortoise produced components. Peru's ancient inhabits Moche used to worship the sea and living beings of the sea. Sea turtles have often been highlighted on their arts. Mexican people harvest sea turtles for food and boot. In many areas of the world coastal people depend on turtles for the source of protein. Their skin is used for making shoes and leather bags in many areas of the world. They also protect humans from the attack of deadly box jellyfish by eating them. We can see that the world is becoming a hostile place for sea turtles. It is a clear warning to us that it might become harder for us to survive too. If we learn from the mistakes which we have made and pledge to make things right to save sea turtles from getting extinct, we will be saving ourselves too. The Similan Islands in Thailand are commonly rated as one of the top 10 dive destinations in the world. Comprising of nine granite islands covered in a tropical jungle, washed by a clear blue tropical ocean the Similan Islands (also referred to simply as the Similans) provide some of the most beautiful and diverse dive destinations in Thailand. The Similans lie in a 25 km long north-south chain of islands, 65 km offshore from Phang Nga Province in the Andaman Sea, about 100km from Thailand's main tourist city, Phuket. The eastern fringes of the Similans feature pretty hard coral gardens in the shallows and sloping reef banks down to thirty metres. At some dive sites such as East of Eden, large bommies (coral heads) rise from the sea bed and are blanketed with soft corals, fan corals, and swarms of smaller tropical fish. East coast Similan Islands diving is relatively easy-going, allowing you plenty of time to explore the sites at your own leisurely pace. The western side of the Similans along with the north and south points can offer more exciting diving as currents swirl around huge sunken granite boulders, which form a series of arches, tunnels and swim-throughs at sites such as Christmas Point and Elephant Head Rock. Growing on, and between, these enormous rocks you find a tapestry of colourful soft corals. In the channels between the boulders, sea fans can grow to some three metres across, and in such numbers that you cannot possibly swim through. The contrast between the east and west coasts and the variety of underwater topography is one of the reasons the Similan Islands are so popular - every dive offers you something different. For underwater photographers and lovers of marine life, then diving in the Similan Islands is difficult to surpass for variety and abundance of tropical fish. Leopard sharks make appearances on a regular basis and you'll also see white-tip reef sharks. It's not a 'big fish' paradise, but it's consistently great for sheer diversity of marine life. You may find anything from tiny ghost pipefish to turtles and giant bumphead parrotfish.
