The whole "y"/"n" system is confusing and prone to error. There is a primitive data type for this exact scenario called a bool. If you're watching this video, check out bools (here's a link: https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/dotnet/csharp/language-reference/keywords/bool), they are true/false variables that should be used in cases like this.

I used to use Booleans but a funny thing happened. Often in my advanced projects I discovered that what I thought could be controlled with a binary turned out to need multiple states. So either create yet another variable or expand the scope of the Boolean. However, replacing the Boolean took more programming whereas if I start with a string, I could simply check for additional values. So rather than just "y" or "n", I could also add other states like "d" or "p" if I want the functionality disabled or paused.

I'm very surprised that your content doesn't have at least thousand times more views. It's very clear and very easy to understand. Thank you for your work.

Would you be willing to do an extra video to show how we could use mecanim battlers? If not, please keep going with this series as it would be sad to see it come to an early end :( I feel that the need for a 2D tutorial is just as strong as a 3D one, and I'm equally interested in both. You're videos are really helpful and clear, to the point, well-spoken and high quality! Thanks so much.
