PEN America Center, A Public Space Magazine and Strand Book Store Present: Eva Zeisel - The Life of a Remarkable Woman. Falsely accused of an assassination plot against Stalin, Eva Zeisel was imprisoned for 16 months, 12 of those in solitary confinement. Some of her prison experiences formed the basis for the famous book Darkness at Noon, written by her childhood love Arthur Koestler. Zeisel went on to become an acclaimed artist. Watch close friends, colleagues and followers discuss her amazing life on what would be her 106th birthday. This event includes a reading of Eva's prison memoirs from the new e-book "Eva Zeisel: A Soviet Prison Memoir," and features audio recordings of Eva herself. Presenters are PEN World Voices director László Jakab Orsós, historian István Deák, Russian art expert Dr. Karen Kettering, and Zeisel's daughter Jean Richards November 13, 2012
